Just finished, Full backs are a problem,  they are looking at that. The Dipo money will be reinvested.
They tried to sign Graham, McKay and had an offer accepted got Paton but he chose Queen’s Park.

I’ll have a look at some of the other posts once I’m home

Is he wrong though? Pretty sure anyone on here knows I’m not a happy clapper, but pishing your frillies at some rooms in the new stand not being kitted out (for the time being) all because you don’t like the owner is weirdo behaviour.

He is wrong.

People posted gifs and poked a bit of fun. Irony is a form of humour. The poster concerned (who you seem to be agreeing with) then opted to go on a tirade and attack those having a laugh about it. That's the modus operandi of those close to the current custodians of the club. To attack those with which they disagree. Any criticism is from a hater or someone who has beef with Dave Smith. Or someone who isn't a real fan. Real fans don't criticise the club (ever!).

We even had the poster boy for happy clappers telling supporters who paid for their season ticket by instalments and had received no communication from the club to suck it up, it was no big deal, the league didn't start for 4 weeks. Stop moaning. Without a hint of irony, or even empathy for their fellow supporters.

I don't know Dave Smith from Adam. I call it how I see it. I am grateful for his off field management of the club. In the main it has improved. On the field its been a distinctly mixed bag. I will continue to criticise where I think its warranted. The club and the owner is not beyond reproach. On the contrary, I find the cult like subservience of a chunk of the support bizarre.

Full backs are a known issue and we are trying to address it. Ecrepont and Hewitt have basically got the ball in their court whether they want to be here as Bullen feels they have a lot of work to do but are at an age where they need to play. He did say he’d tried to sign a left back but he went to Halifax for way more money. He thinks Ecrepont is still behind Reading and feels as though the latter needs someone to really push him on as he felt he became too comfortable and that’s why his levels dropped.

This is fair since Maxwell left he's had no real competition at LB and for one reason or another that's 4 mangers from McCall to Bullen who have not trusted Ecrepont to step up, has he been given a fair crack at the whip well that's another question.

Smith said they are mothballing parts of the new stand due to increase in costs, they will only build the hospitality section for now

Don’t think that’s what he said , the only bits not getting done were the business and sensory parts and a small section in each corner

One of the bits of news we all wanted to hear!

Hopefully Hewitt and Ecrepont go out on loan, the Hewitt long term deal was utterly bizarre though.

I will never understand the Hewitt and McKenzie deals, just mind-blowing stuff.

You can go a few pages back and see me poking fun at the North Stand and pulling up the chief happy clapper about the season ticket issues. None of what you’ve said applies to me.

I pretty much agree with everything you’ve said and I’m normally negative myself but you can’t also tell me with a straight face that there aren’t one or two people who have a personal dislike of a certain individual at the club and enjoy being able to gloat when something goes a bit tits up.

From what I gather, the stand is being built. Just that some of the rooms aren't getting kitted out. Can live with that.

I was terrified at the prospect of that shitey wee lesser hampden stand being built. Looks like that isn''t the case so i can crack open my cans in peace tonight.

It’s exactly what you said , he said from the pitch you would not see any difference

I wasn't having a go at you. My issue was with the poster you quoted and you had asked if he was wrong.

There are undoubtedly a couple of people on here who have had run ins with Dave Smith and there is personal animus on both sides. I can say that because at the Vision Night the chairman made references to having the best hub in League One. A comment made by a poster on here.

The issue I take is that any legitimate criticism is then framed in those terms. "It's because you dislike Smith" Its a means by which to deflect criticism which we shouldn't be giving any credence.

Those who have a personal dislike of the current custodian are a small minority. Even those who do, would (grudgingly) accept Dave Smith has had a positive impact on the club.
