johnmc80
I'll admit, at the start of the season I hoped Kelty got a few pastings to bring them back down to earth, but as the seasons went on, im actually rooting for you guys to do well and maybe join League 2 come May.I always felt there was a slight arrogance with the support when pastings were dished out last year, but the longer its gone on and I've read a wee bit more about Kelty and can see what they're doing, especially with the youth teams, NCP and in the community and the support you boys give to EVERY age group of lads, the more I want you to win the league and playoffs.Touching story.[emoji106]

selfassemblyshire
I thought so.Thanks.At least on this sinking ship we wont jump off and take over another ship, rebranding it and renaming it, pretending like nothing ever happened.

The lofty heights of 10th place with 13 whole points. What you'd give for that now eh [emoji106]

Most likely only securing 13 points would lead to relegation anyway and we'll have 4x as many by the close of this season.Tbh I'm enjoying the Lowland League and only visiting each away ground once. The SPFL is boring and needs a reform.
San Starko Rover
Question for the Kelty fans on here. Just been reading the Lowland League attendance forum and was wondering how your attendances compare over the last 3 seasons East Juniors, EOS and LL. just curious how your attendances have changed if at all between the 3 different leagues obviously with the first two being successful seasons and this one fighting up top of the league.

Our last season in the Juniors our average would have been fairly high with bumper crowds against Hill Of Beath, Bonnyrigg and Kilwinning that reached circa 1000. Run of the mill games it would have hovered around 200-250. That season it would have been around 300. Again in the EOS our average attendance was around 200-250 but then was scewed the last game of the season when we had 1400 at the Lothian THV game. Our average would have been around 275 that season with little or no away support most games. This season is up again for run of the mill games, we have yet to have a top of the table clash like tomorrow, weather depending we would expect between 400 and 500. This would push our average up to around 350. As the Lowland League evolves and the big supported ex Junior clubs from the East and West filter into the league then everyone’s attendances will go up. The Lowland League is the place to be, no doubt about it. As a club and our support are loving it, we do market the club well and the product on the pitch is very good, it’s a good mix. Its roughly 20 to 1 for a club to reach the SPFL from the Lowland League, time you accumulate winning the league, winning the HL play off then the 42 club play off. We know it’s unlikely we will have the chance to play in the SPFL anytime soon unless theres reconstruction with the new tv deal. You could argue the Lowland League if it’s not already will become 1 of the best divisions in Scotland with average crowds for a lot of clubs in non league reaching record levels. With senior Scottish Cup participation, a possible non league national Scottish Cup and the top non league clubs in Scotland participating in 1 division or 2 if there’s a LL2 then it’s very exciting to be part of with the potential for it to get even better. Again you could argue in time as the league evolves there will be bigger average attendances seen in this league than SPFL2 and some of SPFL 1. San Starko Rover
Thanks for the response KEFC interesting reading. As you say it’s going to be a big task to get out of the LL the top 6 looks competitive with decent clubs in EK, Spartans and the Shire among others and that’s before you can even get to the playoffs. Pyramid should have been done years ago and once it’s established properly the LL should be a really good league. Genuinely interested to see who among the Non league teams can make the step up to join Edinburgh City. No doubt there will be a few in the SPFL looking over their shoulders ourselves included if we don’t pull our finger out. Hopefully as the Lowland league continues to strengthen with East and West feeders the SPFL will raise the trapdoor to allow the same relegation as the other divisions. Interesting times ahead and it can only improve our game.

leomessi1984
The draw was a fair result over the game. Really tight top of the league now. I think it will be about who can take the most points of each other in the games in amongst the top 5/6 and also keep consistency against the rest.
