Second goal most enjoyable, the young trialist took the third very well. Just a fitness exercise really, bizarre watching 9 subs come on  at once!

If anything they were more energetic. As you say, fitness exercise but hopefully a LB is signed because asking midfielders to continue to play that role is an accident waiting to be happen.

Brechin better first half, our trialists were better in the second. Nothing much more to write home about really.

Oh, and Finn Robson was also one of the trialists. Ray not letting go of him that easily then.

Result irrelevant, Mitch Taylor is not a LB though.

If Forfar go for a 3 at the back formation again, then Mitch could play the wingback role, but most likely we'll be 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 in which case, yes a LB is needed.

Does Ray view Matty's future as a RB over a CB?

Regardless of formation he cannot play there. Brechin had no issues getting in behind. He was touted as a midfielder, so id like to see him play there. Nonsensical to play anyone other than a LB at LB.

Scott Reekie is 22, no idea about the rest.

Edinburgh City had Scott Reekie on a free from Brechin (that Brechin team that went down and were awful) a few seasons ago. He wasn't great but scored a winner against Cowden when we were struggling a bit. Which was nice.

He might have kicked on playing for St Andrews United though- we freed Martyniuk and he seems to be ok for Bonnyrigg these days.

Special mention to the linesman today. Stuck up for himself when Malcolm & Inglis tried to berate him for a correct decision.

Would like to see that more from officials, whilst at times they're totally incompetent, players shouldn't be able to just give them shite continuously. You could imagine the dummy spitting if a referee spoke to a player in the same manner.

Which reminds me of ex-Arbroath striker Alan McKenna who became one of the best referees in the East of Scotland League.

City were playing Whitehill Welfare in a game and a City player and a Welfare player squared up to each other. McKenna got between the two and said "I know what you're like, and I know what you're like so stop f*cking about you pair of bastuds or you're off" which the two players said "fair enough"
