To be fair the caller has a point. Tranent were a league below us last year.

We haven't beaten a good team yet. Let's hope that changes on Saturday.

They beat us last season.  They are also the only ex junior team whom we have beat this season.

Saturday is a must win game - no excuses.   Our players really need to step up and be counted this weekend as so far they have been found wanting when asked questions.

This game is massive linlithgow win and it opens title race up. Broxburn win and it's theiRs to lose

There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't win given the experience of the squad we have - a perfect opportunity for them to redeem themselves after Saturday's debacle.

All results this season against former Juniors and tier 5 seniors:

Crossgates 0 v 0 Rose (ex ER Premier South, 7th)

Sauchie 2 v 0 Rose (ex ER Super, 13th)

Rose 1 v1 Penicuik (ex ER Super, 3rd)

Rose 1 v 4 Dunbar (ex ER Premier, 7th)

Camelon 2 v 0 Rose (ex ER Super, 9th)

Rose 3 v 0 Fort William (HL, very, very last)

Tranent 2 v 6 Rose (ex ER Premier, 8th)

Beith 4 v 0 Rose (WR Champions)

Rose 5 v 1 Blackburn (ex ER Premier, 5th)

East Stirling 5 v 1 Rose (LL, 4th last season)

Played 10, won 3, drawn 2, lost 5, for 17 (though 14 came in the 3 matches won), against 21. Out of four cups. Among teams we've beaten this season, the highest-placed last season was Blackburn. You could argue Fort William are higher placed, but c'mon. Yet we're still well in the hunt in the league. That's no longer true if we lose on Saturday.

Given our performances so far top 5 is a more realistic goal in the 1st instance.

A helluva lot of improvement would be required to compete in the play-off against the likes of Bonnyrigg

I honestly feel that if we could just sort out the central defence and the positioning of the central midfield when we don't have the ball, we'd stand a good chance. All of our problems are coming from there.

Agree totally. We are currently masters of our own problems.

Our midfield could be more disciplined at times and play both ways. To often there are big gaps between our defence and midfield as they don't move as one.

Who s fault is that ? Is because you don’t get good numbers at training
