Premier League 2018-19

I’ve just seen it back and it was definitely a penalty. It was right in front of us and thought so at the time.

Mane had just  caused all sorts of problems down the same side moments earlier and stayed on his feet under a lot of pressure. The way the 2 of them run past defenders in the area they are always likely to win a pen.

Fair shout from Gary Neville yesterday after the United game.  He was visibly shaking with rage but he got his main point across pretty well - City have far better players than United, who also work twice as hard.  That's #thedifference lads.

They're just absolutely broken.  SAF clearly ran the show at every level at that club, even boardroom level.  Since he left the whole thing has fallen apart.

Yeah think its been discussed before but surely never before has one man held together a club that size. In his absence its become even more obvious what a tremendous job he actually did

The loss of David Gill has been a massive blow too, he had a fantastic relationship with Ferguson and actually knew what he was doing.

Woodward has been an absolute disaster, an overhaul is definitely needed from top to bottom.

I knew there was someone else from the SAF era who wouldn't take any shite but couldn't remember, and it was Gill.

Woodward/the Glazers and the managers they appoint just seem incapable of signing quality that they need.  The 'biggest and richest club in the world' and their squad is full of absolute jobbers (for the level they play at), who don't look arsed half the time.

Give him and Ole time ... :)

The hiring of Woodword has been a bigger blow than the loss of Ferguson, IMO.

In saying that a decent manager should get past that. Liverpool signing policy was a bit poor, but since Klopp came in, a truly elite  top tier, manager, things have turned around. Did Liverpool change DOF/give Klopp more control over transfers than previous managers? @Rab B Nesbit

Man U should have burst the bank for Monchi, replaced Woodword, and gone for a top tier manager. Instead they've got Woodword, Solksjaer, and they'll probably keep jobbers like Young and Jones about purely because the manager is too cowardly to shove long term,  English, servants out the door.

Surely not Jürgen Klolpp as he was called on here ? :)

To be fair Liverpool’s signing policy started to turn just before he came in buying players at the right age at the right price. But Klopp has taken things to a whole new level with new Sporting Director Michael Edwards with a net spend of about £100 million.

Cheers.

Feel like Klopp probably attracts players too, cant imagine any top tier player looking at Solksjaer and wanting to play for him. He absolutely fucking reeks of being sacked next season.

Massively RG he’s got players turning down the usual suspects to come to Liverpool which simply wasn’t happening. Previously the club was operating below the top level missing out on the likes of Clint Dempsey to Spurs.

After an impressive initial run Solksjaer already looks like the failed Cardiff Manager they first brought in.

Jones, Smalling and Young in your defence ffs.

That's only the start. Pogba and De Gea want the same money as Sanchez. They are playing like players who want to leave. Their greedy agents will be desperate for another huge pay day. Lukaku is playing like someone who out too.

There are several players who are out of contract who will leave for free too. It's amazing that Woodward allowed so many, especially De Gea and Herrera,  to enter the last year of the contracts. Rashford and Vidic have only a year left but Smalling and Jones were given lengthy new deals. Crazy!

Solskjaer will have a massive rebuilding job in the summer. It won't be cheap and the shorter summer window will make it much tougher.  And Mike Phelan is going to be Technical Director to bring the players in?  Even more crazy!

I bet United wish they still had him.

No.

Ok. Just wondered...

"Account" - "Ignored Users" - type in the name of the poster you want to ignore.
I will fully support anyone putting Rab on ignore, btw. Since I put him, and his wee dog 8mile, who seems to mewl about trying to make pals with anyone who's getting criticism, on ignore, I cant actually catch up on posts on this thread after games etc., without it being an absolute chore.
