Mgc1910 Posted October 20, 2018 Share Posted October 20, 2018 No doubt the centre of the defence is our Achilles heel, but playing Geggan at right midfield is a nonsense unless he is being tasked to do a particular man marking job on someone. Coupled with Robbie Crawford looking out of sorts on the left, it leaves us with a really lightweight midfield. Young Grivosti is on for his league debut at centreback! Assuming Watson (not long back from injury) has moved from rightback to centreback? Crazy injuries in defence all season. Got the fear now. dingdong1929 Posted October 20, 2018 Share Posted October 20, 2018 Hearing our back 4 is now: Stelios (normally back-up) Grivsoti (youth player) Watson (usually rightback) Kelly (usually leftback) With Draper and Gardyne missing from midfield. Thats more than half the team either missing or out of position from our first choice XI. ETA: Fed duff intel, going by highlights it was Kelly at leftback and Stelios out of position at rightback. It's down to tactics, both Forrest and McDaid are top notch, however we rotate between them and Crawford and sometimes rest Kerr or Geggan. Still, an excellent win considering how confident Ayr were coming into this game. And that back four... Going to guess Graham came on for set pieces and the inevitably launched ball into the box.
