Bully Wee Villa
Thanks. No, I knew about the Rose game. Just found it odd we would have a blank weekend so close to our first competitive game. Obviously we don't, so mystery solved

shawfieldman
Posts like the one above should be obliterated. Was maybe funny when it first started a decade ago.Now just mind numbing lay boring. A bit like cfcuk’s continual digs.

FREDDYFRY
Mmm, leaking goals again it would seem. I hope that is not going to be our issue this year, I know it’s early days, closed door game and no idea what the game has been like but it is a bit alien for us to ship goals. All we can do is hope we can sort this aspect of the game out one way or another. I’ll just console myself with the early days theme and move on in the preparation

That said, pre season means nothing. We tonked Hamilton, then got a lesson from their under 8s last year.

Replays
No Goodie according to the QotS website. No idea what our lineup was like, only that it was effectively a full strength Queen’s team.
chas
Any idea of the eleven? (not understanding why we let Cogill go when it was almost inevitable Lang was away, unless Cogill wanted to go back down south.)
CM.
Had a wee chuckle there reading the report on the QOS website saying Goodwillie is our top scorer when the season hasn't even started yet.

Syverttsen (??) played up top and scored your goal. Ally Love on the left, Chris Johnstone on the right. Those are the ones I recognised. Edited to add Tony Wallace played too. BroadwoodBoy
Cogill was injured for a large part of last season & on the final day was still waiting for an operation. I’m sure he was to speak with a specialist. If he’d been 100% I am certain we’d have signed him & he would also have played a lot in the second half of the season. The two games that have been open for the public we’ve been dominating for most of the game but thrown silly goals away. Questions could be asked about the goalie for each of them but it’s early doors & he hasn’t played a lot of football recently. More games & crank up the preparations for the season - we’ll be fine! Mon the real kick off!
clyde_darren
Dundee United played two games in two days, banks only got 20 mins yesterday and was the only unused sub today. What’s the chances we can get him back on loan?

Mon the real kick off! Interested to understand where you think he’d have played in 2nd part of the season? The stats for the two CB’s during that period were impressive and even more so if you forgive them 2 of the goals conceded at home to Peterhead that they’d have expected our keeper to deal with. He wasn’t comfortable at LB earlier, to say the least so in my opinion it would have taken suspension or injury to get him back in.
