Apparently Frear blows hot and cold.
Can beat his man, but final ball is often lacking, and cannot track back to save his life.
All sounds rather familiar, although admittedly the above could probably be said about the majority of wingers available at this level.

Like 99% of wingers that have ever played in Scottish football then?

As long as his hot is better than what Robson provides, then all is good.

If the new winger can lift the ball over 4 feet high in the general direction of the opposition box then he'll be our best winger since GMS.

I hope we play him on the wing.

Even nicer if it's on his preferred side. But maybe I'm too much of a dreamer.

Spoiler

Dinnae really want another signing on the left wing unless they're something special. Eight/Nine out of the eleven positions are nailed down and there are a lot of boys with good potential fighting for the other positions. An Alex Nicholls type signing would just get in the way.

Not sure if we need Frear or not. Pawlett could be available from next week and we have 3 young players who can play there.  If he’s going to be good enough to start every week then fair enough otherwise it could mean less opportunities for Banks, Chalmers and Appere.

Heard again that Frans may be leaving, if he does then we’ll definitely need a replacement centre back.
