lichtie23 Posted August 16, 2019 Author Share Posted August 16, 2019 Watched the majority of Raiders @ Cardinals. Raiders won 33-26. Some notes from the game.....Derek Carr played the 1st series. Going 2-2 for 40 YDs and a TDRookie RB Josh Jacobs looked good. Some quick jukes and fast feet. Pick up some nice carries.Kyler Murray didn’t look great. 2-3 overthrows in the 1st quarter and ended up with a line of 3-8 for 12 YDs and 4 YDs rushing. The Cardinals defence looks BAD,like REALLY BAD. Both starters and backups were burned throughout.AB was on the sideline in uniform. lichtie23 Posted August 17, 2019 Author Share Posted August 17, 2019 Comfortable win for the Giants over the Bears. Eli played the 1st drive and went 4-4 for 42 YDs and a TD pass to Bennie Fowler. Daniel Jones came in and threw some really pretty passes including a 15 Yarder to TJ Jones. He ended with a line of 11-14, 161 YDs and 1 TD. He did fumble twice tho including on a botched snap. Backups did ok and the defence dominated the Nears offensive back ups. Trubiskey didn’t see the field either did Tarik Cohen to my recollection. Lots of positives for the 49ers with Mostert, Coleman and Bourne showing up well on offense, and the defense did some good work too. Kudos to punter Mitch Wishnowsky for putting in a crunching tackle on a returner. One huge negative though, Jimmy G looks miles off the pace. He had 1 completion from 6 attempts, and even that was for no gain. He was picked off once, and it should have been twice. Hopefully it was just a player feeling his way back from injury but Garroppolo looked very poor last night. Need him to come good as I said after the first game I do not think Mullins or Beathard are good enough to be starters long term. As you say Mostert and Coleman looked excellent along with Deebo. Defensively we looked very sound again even with the back ups on the field. Greenlaw looked good again. Didn't see it live but Garropolo had a much better game than last week, going 14/20 for 188 yards with 1 TD and no picks.
