Not sure why there's any surprise, he is is our best left back despite being absolute murder there.

Comedy scenes that Airdrie have just managed to snap up a left back on loan that would stroll into our team.

A decent half, with the early goal obviously helping.

The defence are trying to cover for each other, and better organised than last weekend, but still shaky and not quite aggressive enough.

If Airdrie keep up this level of possession you'd expect them to score, though they've created very little so far.

Barring a short spell when he dropped out the game (along with a few others), Lamont has been excellent in the middle.

The political problem Lennon's now going to have is this: he and Alan Moore have impeccable records; they clearly know what it takes to win right through to Championship level. However, Clyde have a body of a supporters with a cultured eye for what failure and ineptitude looks like at all the same levels. Unstoppable force; immoveable object.

Nobody's going to call for his head, including me. At the same time, everyone must now recognise that we're two players short of a serviceable defence; one of which will have to be a proper, experienced defender. If Lennon's not getting money, all we'd do by getting shot is delegate the problem.

Grim.
