Giants 3-3 Cowboys, End 1st Quarter

Antoine Bethea picks off Dak on the first play of the game from scrimmage, the Giants can’t punch it in from inside the 10 tho and settle for a FG. Cowboys answer back with FG drive but did have a TD nullified on offsetting penalties. Giants then go 3 and out with Remmers giving up a sack to Lawrence. Giants D does well and the Cowboys miss a 54 yard FG.

Giants 12-13 Cowboys, Half Time

Giants take a 9-3 lead after Jones found Latimer for a 1 yard score early in the quarter. Golden Tate made a superb 1 handed grab om a 3rd down to get the Giants to the 1. Rosas missed the XP. Cowboys then turn the ball over after driving to the Giants 30. Cobb fumbled after a big hit from Peppers and Bethea recovered. Giants turn that turnover into 3 points and take a 12-3 lead on a drive that was interrupted by a black cat running on the field. Rosas with a chip shot after the Giants again got inside the 10 but couldn’t get into the end zone. Cowboys answer back with a 42 yard TD with Dak finding Blake Jarwin. Giants get ball back with 48 seconds left and Jones throws a pick to set up the Cowboys in Giants territory. Maher hits a 52 yard FG to give the Cowboys a halftime lead. Cowboys score 10 points in final 52 seconds of the half

Jones has went 10-17 for 75 Yards, 1 TD and 1 INT while Dak went 10-19 for 132, 1 TD and 1 TD. Saquon only has 21 yards on the ground while Elliot has 80 on 13 carries.

Giants 15-16 Cowboys, End of 3rd

Yet another lost fumble from Daniel Jones, his 7th of the season, is turned into 3 points as the Giants defence holds the Cowboys in the red zone. Giants again get inside the 10 on the following drive (helped by a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Xavier Woods) and yet again are stuffed. Rosas FG makes it a 16-15 game heading to the 4th.
Zeke Elliot now over 100 rushing yards.

Giants 18-37 Cowboys, Final
The Cowboys start the 4th at midfield and 5 plays later Dak finds Michael Gallup for a 15 yard TD to extend the Cowboys lead to 8. Saquon then rips off 60+ yard reception to get the Giants into the Redzone again. As expected tho they are stuffed again (not helped by a non DPI call which Shurmur challenged and was unsuccessful) and settle for a Rosas FG. A shite OPI call benefits the Cowboys who go on to put the game away with a Amari Cooper TD. The Cowboys cause another Jones fumble which they return for the score in the final 30 seconds too improve to 5-3 and record there 6th straight win over blue half of New York.

A disappointing defeat sends the Giants to 2-7. The officials completely lost control of the game in the 4th quarter. No doubt the league will back them tho. Saquon was a non factor apart from that 1 big reception, Jones was average and continues to struggle with ball security. DeAndre Baker (1st round pick) continues to struggle and Leonard Williams was also a non factor on his Giants debut.

Seahawks vs 49ers next Monday should be a cracker and something to look forward too.

I'm usually nightshift so would catch a chunk of the match, but I'm off tonight and have too many things to do tomorrow to stay up. Afraid it will just have to be the highlights.

49ers have activated TE Garrett Celek, so that doesn't fill me with much confidence about George Kittle's fitness.
