Shandon Par
A wee shop in Dunfermline near The Glen used to sell squirrel nuts. I thought they must be some sort of exotic nut I'd never heard of so asked the shopkeeper but he told me "naw, they're nuts to feed to the squirrels".

welshbairn
Pistachio would be my favourite if they shelled them properly instead of making such a half arsed effort of it.

Cerberus
Peeled peanuts or pistachios.I hate shelling them. It triggers my PTSD.
Bairnardo
Pine nuts. Vastly underrated IMO but better in things than on their own, and very expensive. Bit of a hipster choice.
tongue_tied_danny
My favourite nuts were the Big D peanuts that used to be displayed on a piece of card with a picture of a hot burd. The picture was obscured by bags of nuts. As people purchased the nuts the picture would be revealed. This was from the same era as the Tennents cans with similar pictures.
