WHAT!!!!   It’s almost as if god doesn’t exist.

Or is he calling them in early, through those pearly gates, as they have worked very, very hard?

Apparently he works in Mysterious Ways.

Mysterious Ways shut down at noon, but he’ll be getting 80% wages.

Only way to look at it, tbh.

Just had a call from my oncologist, said Friday's dose of chemo is going ahead but they might have to postpone my next 3 weekly one if Raigmore is swamped, for my own protection.

The way the press are buttering up Cuomo atm it won't be surprising if they try and get him in as Biden's replacement for November.

That would be fun.  Trump truly despised former Governor Mario Cuomo - the father of the current governor.

As soon as it spread to Europe, we should have locked down the borders to travellers. Fucking crazy we allowed the rugby to go ahead with loads of French travelling over, also the Scotland team had been in Italy a few weeks beforehand. Crazy they allowed over a thousand Germans in for the Rangers v Leverkusen game. Crazy we’re still allowing flights in and out without quarantine measures in place

The number of people travelling for sporting events is a tiny fraction of the total number of travellers.

It's worth bearing in mind that when America instigated travel bans all the experts panned them.

It's a complete nugget fest,

The new measures, in place for at least three weeks, tell Britons to only go to work if "absolutely necessary" - but Mr Hancock later said those who cannot work from home should go to work "to keep the country running".

Yes, it’s a shambles.

I'm in an unfortunate position.

Worked was shut today, on our shifts app it's been marked as an authorised unpaid absence. I've agreed to go in tomorrow to help set up a home delivery service.

No idea what's happening with wages so going to take whatever hours come my way atm. At least being in the shop and just prepping stuff for delivery means it's just me and at most my shop supervisor and no public so risks will be minimal.

Clarity by the end of the week from the directors. I can get by on 80% of my wages atm thankfully but don't know when it's coming.

See for zero hours folk, are the government basing this on average earning over the last year or how is it being worked out or is it being left to the employer to work out?

The government really needs to start telling the legions of whiners that accompany any announcement to f**k off and that they have to close. All that happens is that ever-extending caveats come into play and it starts undermining the message.

I don't think last night's announcement could've been any clearer, yet here we are. I refuse to believe that even the majority of people seen on the tube this morning cannot work from home and the questions needs to be asked why. Not hard - have the police go around open offices in London and ask questions. If the answer isn't satisfactory, it's shut down.
