I'm in Italy and I had a positive test on 10th March and had to isolate for 10 days. I then got tested again on Saturday there which was still positive. I have had to isolate again for 10 days. They have said that I can go out 21 days after the initial positive result though, as long as I don't have symptoms (with the exception of loss of taste & smell). Not sure if it's a different interpretation of the science.

dirty dingus
Pubs and night clubs no vaccine passport. Social clubs vaccine passports. Sorted. edit: it will also keep the wee hitler committee men busy and give the patrons peace. Especially with Jennie "test and trace is not an appropriate intervention and face masks make Covid worse" Harries at the helm. Nice work if you can get it despite leaving a pile of fail in your wake. Meanwhile: I wasn't asked my opinion for this poll, but it's perhaps not surprising that the support for this is around the percentage of adults currently vaccinated, plus a few Helen Lovejoy weirdos. People have been asked to give up the things they enjoy for over a year now, in order to keep others safe. If vaccine passports are marketed as the way to get those things back in a couple of months time, people, particularly those who have already been jagged, are going to put themselves first and say yes. ETA That isn't an endorsement of vaccine passports. Edited March 25, 2021 by Todd_is_God

This has led to flights only accepting first class passengers and has priced many citizens out of returning home. The article VT linked to is about NZ prioritising citizens who want to come home long term rather than for a holiday. Obviously Jacinda still left a get out for people wealthy enough to buy their way in and out.
Left Back
If domestic vaccine passports become law (which I don't think they will) then you really have no choice but to get one if you want a normal life. If they're voluntary them any premises that asks me for one simply won't be getting my business. There will be enough outlets in all sectors out there desperate for business that I can use instead.

Maybe in the short term but even if you have the vaccine there are still potential downsides. If you are a family where one member chooses not to be vaccinated then you won't be able to eat in a restaurant as a family again. If you are organising a wedding or funeral people may not be able to attend if they don't have an up to date certificate. It's also clear that this will have the greatest impact on BAME people and those on low incomes. Despite that not a single high profile 'left' commentator like Owen Jones or Ash Sarkar have made any mention of vaccine passports. They are obviously terrified to take a position.

Vaccine passports would clearly be a short term measure. To open fully things that would otherwise be severely restricted until it was decided to bin restrictions later in the year / start of next year. A token measure to slowly move away from the corner they have backed into with their "EVERYONE IS AT RISK!!!!" stance. Not a chance they are hanging around. deegee
Has the Scottish Government binned the daily televised updates, due to election coming up? You have a unique user name which has your details of vaccination on the NHS site so once double dosed it would be simple to put it on a card.
