Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

Interesting commentary, but you'd need a conscience to get it......

"The argument for QR codes and passes is simple. We need to do all we can to stop the spread of Covid-19, as the more it travels and circulates, the more chance we have of variants occurring. The Delta mutation is already causing massive problems, both in the UK and abroad.

Some will counter that the death rate has not been as high as before, even allowing for a surge in Delta cases. So, should we trade a ‘few’ deaths so you can enjoy a meal and some drinks without scanning a code? Would you like to offer up your parents, children or spouse in that sacrifice?.....

So, have the jab, download the pass, scan the QR code and help the scientists keep the spread of variants down to a minimum. Doing anything else really is crossing the Rubicon, as the one thing our powerful and far-reaching Big Brother technology can’t do is bring someone back to life once Covid-19 has finished them off"

Social distancing is not long for this world. It should have been binned long ago but there's hardly even a pretence of keeping it in place.

Masks are the battleground because they have attracted batallions of OCD weirdos and 'how hard is it for you to do!!!' self-righteous roasters who would quite like to have them legally mandated for good. This needs to be stomped on by those who do not in fact accept 'near normality' until an indefinite date. We can have actual normality, now, as a result of tremendously successful vaccines.

The 'price worth paying' for crowds at football, busy pubs without table service is not 'face masks remaining'; the price has already been paid in 16 months of restrictions and wall to wall public health shrieking.

Have to hand it to you, being one of the few who can spout even more shite than me.

You have surpassed yourself. Please take the trophy.

Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease, that requires certain immunity among travellers to avoid carriers reinfecting entire fucking continents in the tropics. Covid is a bog-standard, human respiratory disease that has not been eliminated from any part of the world.

The cost/benefit calculation for a mandatory vaccination policy at an international border are entirely different then. Which is also why you don't need proof of a yellow fever vaccine to visit Croatia or Iceland.

Best yet!

Just as well you aint charging money.

Are you in Dykebar? Rest easy.

You already responded to that post champ, in your utterly tragic scramble for relevance.

No but i know a few doctors with asthma who manage no worries in warm operating theatres for hours on end.
Regardless the people im referring to with the fags hanging out the mouth chain smoking saying they cant wear one because ‘asthma’ are the issue. Especially when they’ve never even had an inhaler for years.
Every friend I know with asthma and my younger brother who had severe childhood asthma and still uses an inhaler as an adult all manage fine.

True, depends on the severity. But if you suffer from asthma you've got to weigh up the risks of

A) potentially getting covid

B) potentially having an asthma attack

Can really depend on the day, where you are, the air quality etc. Anything that irritates or inflames your airways can really make things difficult. I guess there's an argument that the mask could help in certain situations, but hinder in others. If you become short of breath things can become scary quite quickly so you might need to remove the mask and wear your badge. I don't think people should be judged for making a medical decision.

There’ll always be businesses that want to pander to the covid head prefect types like this guy who will be sanitising their shopping for years to come.

But I suspect they will ultimately be in the small minority.

Last thing James Dean needs to do is drive ffs.  He's not good at it.

Hopefully he has stopped shaking after his terrifying train journey.  Weirdo.

I have no idea why that fud is still able to spam threads with his trolling pish, I would rather read 100 posts from our resident bots than endure 1 of his.

All very true, I'm just amazed it's that the Boris is yeilding in to reportedly stop being thrown under the bus by his back benchers.

That said his leveling up speech for his vision of post Covid Britain was like a speech from someone who has had a serious head trauma, I suspect he's in his way out regardless of him changing masks from mandatory to encouraged.

Actors can get sick...

Yes, they can. But it's slightly suspicious when the examples of young, seemingly otherwise healthy, people who get bad Covid are actors.

Right in the middle of a vaccination drive among that very demographic.

So concerned for his health, that he waited until leaving the area of concern before piping up.

This is just what this guy does. I clicked on his 'media' and his second image linked to this tweet from 2018 and 2019 (his first was some cringetastic tweet about how he was an 'ad for tapwater'):
