That’s Michelle O’Neill just confirmed that at midnight all restrictions become guidance. Over to you Nicky.

The framework update for next week will be interesting.

Good luck expecting people to put up with restrictions when the rest of the UK is removing them.

That’s Northern Ireland getting rid of all remaining regulations, turning them into “guidance”.

The Scottish Government losers will follow, rather than lead. Probably not for another few weeks.

Tinpot, risible clowns.

The SG will be made to look foolish if they keep restrictions when the rest of the UK are getting rid of them.

That's certainly not stopped them before! I'm sure their 'strategic framework' will be riveting stuff.

Remember just a few weeks back when the bald, speccy tube was telling us how vaccine passports, masks and contact tracing would be a means to manage covid and life wouldn't be the same as before the pandemic? Every other country in Europe has humiliated the SNP.

Even Michelle fucking O'Neill has the gumption to know the reality ffs.

Was at a wedding up near Perth at the weekend and was brilliant to not see a single mask in sight ( apart from staff)

It's problematic having the dirty serving class in masks while the served aren't. This is why guidance and recommendations should be in the bin as well as out of law. It should be personal choice only everywhere.

Public protest is only welcomed by the current crop of utterly self-righteous, 'liberal' politicians, if a) they already agree with the cause and b) it is aimed at somebody else, rather than their own incompetent governments.

It's now the turn of Canada lose the plot.  Invoking their Emergencies Act. to threaten peaceful protests is taking this to a new level.

Can't say c**t in Canada but politicians certainly act like them.

The notable thing in Canada is the way they are targeting protestors bank accounts and insurance policies.

These kinds of sanctions are why people like Trudeau, Blair, Gates etc are so keen on digital currency. Step out of line and you become a non person.

Is that for all of UK?

It'll be for England only (plus NI soon enough since the UK ministers are making some of the decisions for them for now) but the funding consequentials of Westminster scrapping it will probably make it extremely difficult for Scotland and Wales to continue to afford it. It's what Yousaf was trying to warn the UK govt about at the weekend and he's clearly been ignored.

This thread about how vast our testing capacity has become is interesting.
