RandomGuy.
Have pulled off a frankly ridiculous, IMO, loan move considering I'm sitting in the bottom half of the EPL All I'll say is Saint-Maximin is now injured, so I've two Brazilian wingers starting... RandomGuy.
January Transfer 2021 Plan: Due to the huge overhaul in the Summer, plan here was to just tweak things. A few unhappy players to move on, and in terms of incoming probably just loans unless someone comes up on a really good deal. Out Bloor, Brown, Robise and Norton all youth dross who were now at 20/21 and weren't close to first team. Sims similar but a better player, a left winger though, so was allowed to leave for reasons which will become clear. Reed had barely played due to having Rein, Hojbjerg, Ward-Prowse and Fornals all ahead of him, and went in a huff, so cheerio. Bednarek left as fourth choice CB didn't suit him either. I wanted Forsters wages off the books the moment he failed to perform. Mattias Svandberg and Che Adams were both loaned out aswell, amongst about 10 youth dross players. RandomGuy.
January Transfers 2021 In Sebatiano Espositos deal was completed, I won't screenshot him again. Starting with the cheapest permanent deal, and ending with loans... Solly March - £5.25m Spoiler Natural on both wings. Available for less than his value. Happy to be a back up player. Home-Grown. Perfect. Alessio Cragno - £15.5m Spoiler A proper hidden gem of a keeper I always forget about. Think I've finally found my first choice keeper going forward. Injured until February but is worth the wait. Trevor Chalobah - Loan Spoiler Let go of a CB and CM, and needed a replacement happy to be cover until the Summer. Vinicius Jr - Loan Spoiler Always worth looking at player interesting in a loan, but aren't loan listed. Incredible signing IMO. Wanted a winger to compete with Saint-Maximin/Moura, got one who surpasses both. Edited April 16, 2020 by RandomGuy.
RandomGuy.
January 2021 FA Cup v Reading (H) : 3-2 win (Elyounoussi, Svanberg, Holding) Spoiler Genuinely thought we'd lost the game, step up forgotten man Svanberg to save the day with a equaliser. Hate these types of cup ties. EPL v Man U (A) : 2-1 loss (Moura) Spoiler Utterly sick of the amount of stoppage time goals we lose. Must be a mentality thing but no idea how you resolve that. EPL v Huddersfield : 1-0 win (Esposito) Spoiler My man comes up big when its needed. EPL v Fulham (H) : 3-1 win (Esposito x2, Holding) Spoiler Another big performance. EPL v Sheffield United (A) : 3-0 win (Vincius Jr, Fornals, Esposito) Spoiler Couldn't live with the attack. Esposito destroyed them. Delightful. FA Cup v Arsenal (A) : 1-1 draw (Ward-Prowse) Spoiler Arsenal must hate me. EPL v Norwich (H) : 2-2 (Vinicius Jr x2) Spoiler Two stoppage time goals, its becoming a fucking annoyance. My man Vinicius Jr starting to look the part. Him and Saint-Maximin on either wing could be fun. League Table Only one win off last seasons total, and I think 8pts. Would've been top half without the bottle job against Norwich, and still a very outside chance of Europe. Relegation is not a worry, so top half the aim. Would temper that by saying last month was kind with the fixture list, will February be as nice? Doesn't look bad, but Leicester and Bournemouth regularly dominate against me.

RandomGuy.
February 2021 FA Cup replay v Arsenal (H) : 3-0 win (Elyounossi, Esposito x2) Spoiler We own Arsenal. 6 games, 4 wins, 1 loss. Arteta was bitching about in the media before this, so this result was delicious. EPL v Burnley (A) : 2-0 win (Fornals, Vinicius Jr) Spoiler Worryingly easy, to the point I assumed we'd lose 3 goals late on. Vinicius Jrs goal was unreal, beat a few players on the byline then went round the keeper, never seen it before on this FM. EPL v Leicester (A) : 3-0 win (Esposito x2, Vinicius Jr) Spoiler Slight revenge for the 5-1 loss to them earlier this season. Team is really coming together now, and a chance for the first perfect month in my time in charge... EPL v Bournemouth (H) : 1-0 loss Spoiler Ah well, so close to a perfect month. Zappacosta scores a winning goal against me again. Will allow the players an off day every so often. League Table Made it into the top half, but that Bournemouth result probably ends any genuine chance of the top 6. 7th got Europe last season but even thats now a long shot. Top half the aim. Next up? Cup progression all I want. Watford should be a win, Chelsea a loss. Arsenal? They'll surely be due a win against me.

RandomGuy.
March 2021 FA Cup v Cardiff (H) : 0-0 (won on penalties) Spoiler Cardiff were 19th in the Championship when we met, imagine my surprise when we struggled to win against them. Missed penalty during the game seemed to rock the team as we'd absolutely battered them until then. EPL v Arsenal (A) : 3-0 loss Spoiler Arsenal finally get their reward for consistently battering me. Ings got a chance after Espositos horror show in the Cup, Ings did not take that chance. EPL v Watford (H) : 2-1 win (Ward-Prowse x2) Spoiler Two free kicks in two minutes. Job done, move on. FA Cup v Tottenham (H) : 2-0 loss Spoiler Attackers didn't perform, if they don't then we don't really stand much chance against bigger teams. Shame but a run to the Quarters is decent. League Table Games are a bit nuts due to the FA Cup forcing games to be postponed, think Europe screwed it up too. I've somehow managed to open up a gap over Norwich despite only winning one game while they played 3. Evertons absolute bottle job is just hilarious though, they were 8pts clear with 13 wins from 14 going into November, managed 4 wins in the next 16 games My next run of fixtures, some begging questions in the next month. Can I secure a top half finish? Will Everton drop right out of European contention? Will Alessio Cragno actually play a game for me? Can I avoid losing a game 7-0 this time? RandomGuy.
April 2021 EPL v Man City (H) : 2-1 loss (Esposito) Spoiler Some dignity restored after the 7-0 loss earlier this season. EPL v Liverpool (A) : 6-1 loss (Esposito) Spoiler Clinical attack + Quality keeper v Misfiring attack + Shite keeper. Their extra quality up front and in goal the main difference, we actually done quite well. EPL v Crystal Palace (H) : 2-1 win (Saint-Maximin, Ings) Spoiler Back to winning ways, Saint-Maximin shows up for the first time in months. EPL v Brighton (A) : 1-0 loss Spoiler 3 months after signing, Cragno finally makes his debut. We lose and he concedes a howler. League Table Title race going to the wire, we're now in a fight with Fulham and Norwich for the top half. Huddersfield doon. From a selfish point of view, I want Burnley, Watford or Middlesbrough to go aswell. All three have players I want to sign. Final round of fixtures? Not much points coming from that, so another bottom half finish, probably 11th, on the cards. Depends on the Middlesbrough game.
RandomGuy.
Came across this during my game against Chelsea. Winner of the worst AI transfer of the game so far? They paid £3.9m for him. He's played in 1 league game all season, a 30 minute sub appearance. He was signed on the 1st September, the same day they signed a Portuguese defender (Ferro) for £48m...
RandomGuy.
May 2021 EPL v Tottenham (H) : 1-0 loss Spoiler Decided to continue giving Ings a chance, but he still hasn't performed. Bertrand gives away another penalty, wondering if this is him losing the legs a little. EPL v Middlesbrough (A) : 4-3 loss (Ings, Elyounoussi, Holding) Spoiler Our old enemy, the corner, returns to bite us. Both Fry goals from that type of set piece. This result also confirmed Middlesbroughs safety. Fry and Wing two players I'd scouted with a view of bringing in. Ings finally showed something though. EPL v Chelsea (A) : 2-0 win (Saint-Maximin, Esposito) Spoiler Arguably one of my best ever results? Saint-Maximins goal was an absolute bullet from the edge of the box. Esposito confirms why hes first choice striker nowadays. EPL v Everton (H) : 2-0 win (Ward-Prowse, Esposito) Spoiler WE BEAT EVERTON!!! Proper end of season performance by them, while we turned up. Nice to sign off on a high though. Final League Table Those last two victories seal our spot as a top half team. Next target has to be cutting the gap to the top 8. Everton somehow miss out on the CL despite being 10+pts clear of 5th in December. West Ham and Leeds were promoted automatically, Derby and West Brom in the Play Off Final.
RandomGuy.
Squad Review 2020/21 Goalkeepers Not by design, but that order is also how they will start next season. No intention of losing, or replacing, anyone there in this window. Defenders New CB partnership come out on top, Holding perhaps surprisingly the better of the two. Full backs became a worry as we went on. Valerys form did eventually pick up, but at the same time as Meuniers dropped off. Probably target a full back for either side to start, but willing to continue giving Valery a chance. Central Midfielders Svanberg also played a couple of games, but doesn't deserve included as he vanished off on loan after 2 or 3. Harrison Reed also featured before his January departure. Ward-Prowse remains my key man. Fornals outplayed his replacement Armstrong so happy with how hes progressing. Won't look to sign anyone here, I don't think. Young players will be given a pathway. Wingers Vinicius Jr makes an impact despite only being here 6 months. Happy enough with the 3 below him, despite their inconsistency. Boufal will be allowed to leave, March's fate will depend on how younger players do in pre-season. If younger players can't step up, they'll be loaned out and I'll try and repeat the trick of getting a quality winger on loan. Strikers Esposito a fucking star. Ings really underwhelming but didn't get a run of starts at all. Che Adams played 9 games, but only managed 1 assist and 0 goals before being loaned out. Players out on loan Picked out 3 players who will be given a chance before the new season starts. Callum Slattery - CM - 22yo Spoiler Will get a chance to be Fornals understudy. Make or break really due to his age. Will Ferry - LW - 20yo Spoiler Self explanatory what role he might play. Suspect be best to loan him out again though. Michael Obafemi - ST - 20yo Spoiler Doesn't look a great player, but I'm after a 3rd choice striker. Seems to score goals and physically is up to the top flight. Much like Ferry, will likely end up out on loan again. Summer Transfer Plans Not much, large overhaul last Summer so need to let the dressing room bond without too much disruption now. Full backs and wide areas only places likely to see any first team players added, but if I go into next season with no new signings and just youth players adding depth I wouldn't be overly worried.
RandomGuy.
Initial budget. As I said, not intending to actually sign anyone, but theres zero chance that money is sitting there without being spent.
RandomGuy.
Man U after both Ward-Prowse and Fornals. Ward-Prowse isnt an issue, he signed a new contract until 2025 in January so should be happy. Fornals, on the other hand, has a £32m release clause to teams in the CL. Had to extend his deal to get rid of it, not too bad since hes young and quality, but hes now my first player to break the six figure eekly wage barrier, with a wage of exactly £100k/pw.

RandomGuy.
Some notable transfer business from around the league Absolutely wild. Man City spent £355m, Man U spent £270m and Liverpool spent £255m. No chance I'm getting near the top 4 this decade.
