Bully Wee Villa
What's that about, is that their official name now? Edit: I see it is. Interesting. Assumed it was just a Fotmob abbreviation rather than their official name. Edited September 17, 2020 by Bully Wee Villa

Assumed it was just a Fotmob abbreviation rather than their official name.Been the name since 2017.The entire saga goes back to 1998 when the club seperated from the army thus dropped the CSA from the name. In 2014 the former parent CSA Steua which is part of the national defence ministry won a lawsuit on the claim the club had never been approved to use the 'Steua' trademark. There's a club under the CSA Steua Bucuresti name currently in the 3rd tier owned by the ministry mentioned. To complicate things both clubs claim the records pre-2017 with UEFA and the Romanian League attributing it to FCSB but CSA Steua won a court case in 2019 in relation to the records.

Blootoon87
Noticed Dundalk went through against Sheriff last night, so checked their run. They've played an Andorran and Moldovan team so far, and have a Faroese team in the playoffs! Why do the Scottish teams never get this kind of luck?
Sherrif John Bunnell
Irish teams seem to have a great record of making the group stage. There can't be many other leagues at such a diddy level who have semi-regular qualifiers?

Dundalk went through the Champions Path, like Celtic, so the standard of opposition was similar. Motherwell & Dons had to face also-rans from bigger leagues.

I assume they've been unseeded the whole time as well?

It could of been Quarbag or Legia instead. Edited September 25, 2020 by denltfc
