Week 9

Week 9 kicks off tonight in a matchup between 2 teams who as recently as yesterday had Covid positive tests. It surprises me that this game is still on as it stands.

TNF

Packers @ 49ers

Sunday (Early)

Texans @ Jaguars

Giants @ Football Team

Ravens @ Colts

Lions @ Vikings

Panthers @ Chiefs

Bears @ Titans

Broncos @ Falcons

Seahawks @ Bills

Sunday (Late)

Dolphins @ Cardinals

Raiders @ Chargers

Steelers @ Cowboys

SNF

Saints @ Buccaneers

The Seahawks trip to Buffalo of the stand out game this week. A real test of where the Bills are. Are they just the best team in an average AFC East or are they genuine contenders? In the SNF game the Buccs will be looking to avenge their opening day loss to the Saints in a game that will see a constant change in the all time passing TD leaders. As it stands Brady is on 561 with Brees on 560.

The Niners team is absolutely decimated right now. Lump on GB!

These are the guys that started Week 1 and will likely play tonight:

OFFENCE

Kyle Juszczyk
Mike McGlinchey
Laken Tomlinson
Daniel Brunskill

DEFENCE

Arik Armstead
D.J. Jones
Fred Warner
Emmanuel Moseley
K’Waun Williams
Jimmie Ward
Jaquiski Tartt

Everyone else that plays is a back up

I was beginning to believe Allen had become a decent passing qb but his performances in that field have gone off a cliff.

He won't have a better chance to prove it is just a slump against the generous Seahawks pass defence....

Kendrick Bourne's test was a false positive but because of COVID protocol he still needs to miss the game despite testing negative today as do a number of other players who have also tested negative today. Pretty much sums up the Niners this season...

Sky games are Seahawks @ Bills at 6, followed by the best NFC West team at home to the Dolphins at 9.

The desert dwellers can't even count a few votes...

Final score flatters the 49ers a bit tbh, Packers led 31-3 at the start of the 4th quarter.

More injured 49ers too. Fantastic.

Hard to see how there won't be more of these results in the coming weeks given how many players are out right now. Last night it wasn't just back ups out there it was 3rd string players in some cases.

Definitely, so many players missing all over the field, struggle to see where they win many games from here, certainly not before they face Washington in week 14 and the Cowboys the week after.

Williams and Tartt the latest to pick up injuries.

Next 4 weeks
@ the Saints
Bye
@ the Rams
Home vs Bills.

That’s Baker Mayfield on the Covid list

Worth pointing out that he hasn't tested positive himself, but has been deemed a close contact of a staffer that has. Browns are on bye this week, and all being well he'll come off the list on Wednesday, in plenty time for next Sunday.
