Gordon EF
Falkirk fans are just trying to exclude as many places as possible from the Central Belt so they can claim to be amongst the 22 best teams in the Central Belt IMO.
Fife Saint
Always had it as effectively the corridor between and around the M8 and M80. Ayr isn't imo.
Melanius Mullarkey
There's your proper central belt right there.
Wee-Bey
Yeah, it's called The Central Belt, not The Cental and Southwest Scotland Belt.

Genuine Hibs Fan
The central belt is only the m8 and anything half a mile to either side of it

Jim McLean's Ghost
Some absolute weirdo opinions here The Central Belt is Glasgow and Edinburgh metropolis's and everything in between. No Ayrshire, no Fife, no coastal areas like Greenock or Dumbarton. Ignore the line from Falkirk to Edinburgh, obviously the boundary is the Forth. I would hear arguments that Stirling is in the Central Belt due to being south of the Forth and on a direct train from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

They're fact. Also - isn't Ayr that place with a Butlins?
Bert Raccoon
All these North and South teuchters are essentially hipsters who think they are better than their Central belt overlords because they dress weird and smell odd
Bairnardo
Belt: its narrowCentral: it covers the central part of Scotland. The clues are in the names which clearly exclude Ayr for christ sake. Gaz pretty much nailed it.

LongTimeLurker
Former coalfields from Stirling to Leven should all be in along with the Vale of Leven. Bit dubious on how Ayrshire and Lanarkshire are being handled. Coalburn, Lesmahagow, New Cumnock and Dalmellington are more central belt than Wemyss Bay, Cumbrae or Turnberry.
