LongTimeLurker
Think if the dates were 100% set they would have been on the twitter graphics. They may have to flexibly work around whatever happens in the EoS and WoS with the balance of the games being in June? Not sure what to make of there being no Whitburn entry. Would have expected them to be one of the bitter enders on SJFA membership under this sort of scenario. Looks like some WoS clubs have rejoined the SJFA? Maryhill for example.
PastyMan
There's already league fixtures posted for both the EoSFL and WoSFL for 21 Aug Edited July 3, 2021 by PastyMan

Round 1 21 Aug Round 2 25 Sep Round 3 23 Oct Round 4 27 Nov Remaining dates to to be confirmed. So the EoS have fixtures on the dates allocated for rounds 1 and 2. I can't see them being cancelled to allow SJC games, so what then? I assume SJC replays will be binned, but what about postponements, when do these get played?

I'm pretty sure they were binned last year as part of the changes. I'd be wondering if the Scottish Cup is returning to replays in 2021-22 as that could be just as disruptive in a few cases now.

Ginaro
The added complication is that the Scottish Cup / Alex Jack Cup entrants aren't fully confirmed and drawn yet, once you know that you can put First Division fixtures on 7th August and fixtures for the entire EOS on 28th August (plus EQC games). So for example, that Peebles fixture could be played on the 28th if they are already out of the AJC. Think there will be a bit of manoeuvring but I'm sure the Kenny/ies are up to it. Gazzah
You might not be far off the mark with that. I get the impression the SJFA want a national Cup from Tier 5 downwards.Would be aswell being a open for all as it practically is with this set up. Honestly can’t believe they have allowed this. Minute any team joined East or West of Scotland they cease to be a junior team and therefore shouldn’t be anywhere near the junior cup.

Listen to the draw and read it off what they have on the picture. The ties are all over the place. The numbers don't match what is being read out. I'll wager an Excel spreadsheet is involved in this somewhere and the list they have at the table does not match what is on the spreadsheet. Notice how Kello Rovers does not have a number on that picture. That's where things have broken down.

Always assumed the EoS could do something analogous to having the "Beware of the Leopard" sign on the office where the plans for the demolition of Arthur Dent's house were kept at the start of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy to make SJC participation completely impractical. Despite the fixture list issues highlighted above Armadale Thistle and some of the other would be WoS applicants appear to have decided to proceed anyway. Interesting times ahead...

Probably the worst place I’ve ever been to watch a game of football. Take binoculars… Think back row of Hampden but colder, with 20odd parents of the players sitting on their hands, eyes watching everything you do, dismay at the thought of shouting/boisterous celebration and throw in that it’s basically a glorified, council-run leisure centre so nothing to drink, no smoking and a pack of committee types enforcing every rule to the letter… 0/10 Scoring 2 goals in the last 5 mins in the pitch black to pap them out the cup and falling over 3 rows of seats while celebrating… Priceless

LongTimeLurker
So no net change in numbers terms in the West once Annbank are factored in: https://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forums/index.php?threads/scottish-junior-cup-2021-22.4858/#post-101201 Interesting to see how many West clubs retained their SJFA membership - it seems to be 52 out of 63 with a question mark over Annbank who have sat this season out. The ten clubs who have not are: WoS Premier - Clydebank, Darvel, Kilwinning Rangers, Rutherglen Glencairn WoS Conf A - Bellshill Athletic, Forth Wanderers WoS Conf B - Port Glasgow Juniors, Royal Albert WoS Conf C - Neilston, Vale of Clyde So as was deduced in earlier posts Darvel and Vale of Clyde have left since last season but Newmains and Cambuslang Rangers have rejoined.
