Preparing for the championship I see. Not great for Burnley either though. They struggle for goals anyway and he's their main striker £20m for a striker with 3 in 17 !! Eddie Why ?? Eddie has priors in this department. 19m for Dominic Solanke who had scored 1 goal in 27 games for Liverpool and 15 Mil for Jordon Ibe who had scored 4 in 58 for Liverpool. He is very good at coaching plucky underdogs and lower league veterans like Steve Cook, Simon Francis, and Charlie Daniels but as soon as he is given any money he spends like a drunken sailor
Theroadlesstravelled
He’s probably just going for Barclays experience rather than that foreign muck.

Good old school centre forward. Think his lack of goals this season is partly down to injury and Burnley as a whole being pish. 8 hours ago, Theroadlesstravelled said: He’s probably just going for Barclays experience rather than that foreign muck. If all else fails they can always bring back Andy Carroll… Fucking hell

The richest club in the world and Eddie How? chooses a 30 year old striker with 3 league goals. Dean Saunders thinks he’ll do well cause he can get on the end of crosses, has good feet for a big man, and frightens defences. That nails it as a horrible signing.
TheGreenElves
Looks like Newcastle are trying to weaken their relegation rivals rather than signing good players
Bully Wee Villa
What's Ross McCormack up to these days? Surely Newcastle could tempt him with £200k or so a week.

Tbf, he also signed Mings, Ake and Danjuma who were sold on for a decent profit.

Ron Aldo
Chris Wood to Newcastle confirmed. Transfermarkt saying the fee is £27 million [emoji23].
TheScarf
Newcastle United deserve a Southampton/Leicester City style 2 or 3 seasons in League One.

Here is a good explanation of how he will fit into Newcastle's system, which is all well and good but the fee is absolutely insane. 10 million would be more reasonable
Theroadlesstravelled
Burnley looking to bring in Andy Carroll from Reading as a replacement. Norwich and Burnley are gone. Newcastle are better than Watford so will probably stay up unfortunately.

Leeds and Everton should be too good to down but nothing can be taken for granted. The Loony Toon Army were expecting the Saudis to dig deep for a top manager and talented young players. Instead, they got Diddy Howe and paid OTT for two players over 30. The honeymoon is well and truly over.
The Master
Some 5 minutes at Brighton v Palace. VAR gives Brighton a penalty, it’s saved, they “score” from the resultant corner only for VAR to rule it out for a foul on the keeper.
