Meanwhile, Haqqani and his followers were in hiding in Pakistan

This is what I don't get about the bloodthirsty libs who refuse to admit to any guilt for the afghan war because "we don't kill civilians on purpose" (bullshit) or "our soldiers get put on trial". The war is littered with dozens of these cases, entire areas destroyed for no good purpose. We still see it now with the stories linked above re the air strikes (which a couple of the chubby warmongers on this thread were puffing their concave chests out about). But it's worthwhile because of some Potemkin village idea of a more palatable state?
