broomiesniper
games can't come quick enough at the moment with The Mo playing the way they are. Do East Fife have the option of Pay at the Gate or will we have to purchase an e-ticket beforehand?

monthefife
Would be nice to go at least one competitive match without conceding a single goal. Our defence is a bomb scare.
Life on Marrs?
Is the e-ticket only system just while things are returning to normal? Can't be the only one who thinks not having a pay-at-the-gate option will put a lot of fans off.

monthefife
Be curious to see how Darren Young starts this one. From last weekend it would appear that Gallacher will be another added to the injury list so Jude Smith will surely come in for him. Does he change the entire back line, bring in Osei-Bonsu/Dan Higgins whom we haven't even seen yet etc? Seems to be part of the problem with our squad at the moment, is that there are no obvious or clear stand-out players for each starting position. It feels like you could do a random draw for all the GK's/Defenders/Midfielders/Strikers we have and that is what could start tomorrow.

When the club went with one experienced GK this season I genuinely thought that they would have had a list of 4-5 emergency loan options in case this situation arose. For example, Maciej Dabrowski from Hibs who was on loan at Dumbarton last season. To be going with an 18 year old GK with 45 minutes senior career experience is a very bold move indeed. I hope the outfield players might protect him a bit better than last week at least.
PortyMo
We've had probably our best start to a League 1 season since promotion 4 years ago. We could/should have been top of the league with zero goals against had luck gone our way and diabolical ref decisions (against Clyde) not gone against us. Would imagine SP will go with much the same team as he's stuck by so far. We've been playing really well and making plenty chances. If we keep playing the way we have somebody will kop a hiding from us. However, I'll accept a hard fought 1 goal victory in any away game. 1-0 the Mo.
Mon_The_Fife
Both clubs are on different trajectories at the moment and can’t see us getting anything from this. With Peterhead, Clyde and Dumbarton coming up over the next few weeks we will see where we are at.
Brummo
Well done the Mo. East Fife looked dangerous at times but seemed to lose their way. In the end the win was deserved and quite comfortable as the Mo seemed to be able to mop up any East Fife goal threat and always looked capable of scoring on the break. I do wish they could put away more of their chances though as there are other teams who are going to be less generous in providing such opportunities. East Fife didn't appear to be a bad team but they are clearly some way off of finding their mojo.
VillaKnollBoy
Easy three points against as poor an East Fife team that I can remember. Would like us to take more of the chances that we create, but I'd be more worried if we weren't creating them. Move on to Dumbarton at Links Park next week.
notsofedupendie
Struggled and looked lethargic until the first goal and couldn’t have complained if we’d been 2 down. Second half was comfortable. Still think the “no centre forward” approach is going to come unstuck at some point but I guess there aren’t many (any?) available out there.
mo83
Excellent win again well happy with our start to the season.Who needs a striker eh...
broomiesniper
Good 3 points today. East fife looked to start quickly and seemed to tire after 15 or so minutes and the Mo were fairly comfortable after that. Another great goal from Webby, and dare I say it, could have won by a greater margin if we had a striker to find in the box? East Fife’s number 9 looked decent enough, hopefully his injury isn’t too bad
notsofedupendie
Should’ve also said that Seagull had a great game .. made important saves at key times.
Gordon EF
Pretty simple win for Montrose in the end. We opened the game pretty brightly but Montrose grew into the game and a blunder from Ross Dunlop let them get in front. We didn't really look like we were going to get back into it after that. It was actually pretty surprising it took Montrose so long to increase their lead. Well done Montrose, great start to the season and a very impressive performance, as usual. Things are looking grim for us. Next two games against Peterhead and Dumbarton are massive now.
WhoAmI
Not taking anything away from Montrose, they were by some distance the better side and fully deserved the win possibly by even more than 2-0 but honestly East Fife how could you lose a goal from your own free kick in your opponents half. It’s going to be a hard enough season without schoolboy errors coming into play.
PortyMo
Never made the game but having watched the highlights, a big shout out for the seagull. A couple of great saves early on. Great finish from Webby too.
