SNP / Green and their Cooperation Agreement

I see Murdo Fraser, with a completely straight face presumably, called it "economic vandalism".

Murdo Fraser, of the Conservatives, the Conservatives that implemented Brexit, called the SNP/Green agreement "economic vandalism".

Greta Thunberg: Scotland not a world leader on climate change - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58387017

"On the Scottish Greens' deal to enter government, she said some politicians were "less worse" than others.

"But she said tackling climate change was not as easy as voting for a green party."

"The Scottish government has previously described its climate change legislation as "world leading."

As usual the headline doesn't match the article content.

In any case it's just the opinion of one middle class Western environmentalist - she is not the fount of all knowledge as the media seem to portray her.

In general her "analysis" is oversimplified pish that is fundamentally antidemocratic.

It's almost deliberately misleading.....

Wonder if Sturgeon said all this to her when she was sitting on a panel with her a few weeks ago.

It's fairly galling but politicians have to play along with the pantomime of sitting, nodding and smiling as a school child pontificates about climate change because the 'general public' are morons who think there's actual value in what Greta Thunberg says.

As is your post.  The SNP have already stated that there will be no new nuclear power in Scotland.  A reserved matter but something they will use the planning system to prevent this.  Just like they have stated with shale.

Your post would lead one to think that only energy policy has an affect on the climate.  Other areas are within their powers such as transport, building standards, landfill etc.

We have also made out climate targets legally binding which would mean either the SNP are playing to the gallery (stop giggling at the back) or they are serious and believe that there is currently the competence (I said stop the giggling) in the Scottish parliament to meet their self prescribed goals.

All their own doing. They sat on the fence for as long as possibly could to avoid upsetting Ratcliffe.

You don't agree that climate change is about more than just having control of energy policy?  I'll leave you to your own little world on unicorns and fairys.

You've created an argument I didn't make and are now persisting in trying to argue the case against. This is tedious amateur posting and I shall not be engaging further. Good day.

Strichener's modus operandi, there.
Strichener is what you'd get if you ordered Ad Lib off Wish. A crashing, tedious bore.
