Sure is. I thought the initial weans with a new toy approach to that Twitter account had tailed off. They really are fannies.

jimbaxters
Don't do Twitter so not sure what the problem is with it. Having said that the notion of spending money on a professional Twitterer (if there is such a thing) doesn't have sense. It's the daft suspense being built around this draw that tickles me.
Shanner
Twitter is a doddle they just try way to hard with it. All the teaser shite about cup draws would burst you. Just tell us who's playing who and go away off my timeline so I can see what Dean Gafney thinks about Brexit.

Stants1902
It wasnt a teaser or to build suspense. I couldnt be at the draw on Monday night, therefore we got Ben from Kilwinning to film it for us, and then sent over for editing. Had to also put together the sponsor announcement yesterday as well as had been abroad with work so hadn't had the chance to sort that before the draw.Plan was to get both videos out one after the other yesterday but hadn't enough time to get the 1st round stuff done, and with iPhone launching last night and working in the mobile industry, had to put the day job first last night.Hope this 'fanny' has cleared things up a bit [emoji3] and good luck to ur teams in whatever round they have been drawn out in

jimbaxters
To fill the void where the earlier excitement was, let's discuss the fact that this cup is happening at all, at least this season. Surely something could have been done about alleviating the pressure on some Premier clubs. For example, Hurlford and Glenafton have been drawn in a prelim round when they are involved in the Scottish Junior Cup as well. And before someone (probably from Clydebank) pipes up with "That's their choice. The Joonyurs are died!", it wasn't their choice to be involved in a 38 match league. At least until this horrendous season of fixtures is out the way, this cup could/should have been either scrapped, seeded or just played out within the Conference clubs. The fact that sponsorship has been allocated should mean the latter would have been the best option. With all due respect, this is the least of the cup competitions in kudos and, I suspect, could be seen far enough by most Premier Clubs. At a quick calculation, Talbot could potentially be involved in 56 competitive matches this season and that's before counting the William Hill Scottish Cup. All this from semi professional lads who have day jobs. Crazy stuff. Edited September 15, 2021 by jimbaxters

We posted to let people know roughly when the draw would be posted as people had been asking about it.

If clubs want to play in other optional minor cup competitions then they can’t complain about fixture congestion.
Shanner
would be giving as many of the development lads a run out in these games as the rules allow.

"as the rules allow" ? Is there any restriction on players from the Development squad taking part in First team games? I thought they were all signed as players so could play for either team if of the correct age.

I anticipated some restriction or other but if they can play without problems then all the better. While I understand the idea of seeding Premier teams to avoid the Preliminary Round, with 20 teams you'd have to further restructure the competition to make it workable. The EoS Premier have 38 mandatory games this year with 4 cups being played. The WoS Premier have 41 mandatory games this year with 3 cups being played. Adding the Junior Cup is kind of relevant.

Clubs didn't choose to be part of a 38 game league but once that became apparent they could have easily pulled out the least important competition of all.

energyzone
This cup is the least important palMaybe the second least important. Staging a Scottish Junior Cup when there are no junior clubs south of the Highlands and some of the bigger West teams aren't entering is an embarrassment and a complete waste of time.
