Into May for those fixtures then, bit of a wait for Invergordon who have played their last game and Carnoustie/East Craigie will likely still have East Region cup games to play - and even more pointless for BOD when they get promoted.
TheScarf
Nah, why would they play those games? Just arrange Fort v BOD and everyone can move on to next season.

Doubt it, the amateur leagues will be starting up. I thought it would be worth having to keep the likes of Banks O'Dee match fit while they wait 3 weeks for the play off, and make it a Champions of Champions Cup kind of thing in its own right, but the Midlands league keep playing till the end of April

RossBFaeDundee
The inevitable has been confirmed. Wonder where Fort William's home leg will be played, possibly at Spain Park as well?

But I reckon Fort’s home leg will be elsewhere. Possibly Grant Street in Inverness.

Pretty sure their home leg will be played at Claggan Park, the play off is under SFA rules and it won't matter how the pitch was last July.

They just didn't bother sorting it out until after the season started.

The highland pyramid rules say it is a competition organised by the SHFL on behalf of the SFA and the SHFL League Management Committee set the date/times of the play-off games so they probably will have a fair amount of say on whether it goes ahead at Claggan Park. It would sum up Fort William though if the only time they played on their pitch this season is when they get relegated. Also, I recall someone asking about players: "Eligibility of Players (h) Only a Player registered at the Scottish FA by a Club on 31 January in the year of the relevant Play-Off Competition shall be entitled to be listed on the Team Lines of said Club for the purposes of playing in the Play-Off Competition."
welshbairn
The reason Fort weren't allowed to play their home games at Claggan Park after they'd sorted it was the advantage it would give clubs who had already played Fort's away games at their own grounds, also of course because that was the deal made to allow Fort to continue in the HL. This won't apply in the play offs, the league will be finished and it would bizarre to give BoD plastic home pitch advantage in both games, not that they need it. Sherrif John Bunnell
South Lochaber Thistle are using Claggan Park fairly regularly at the moment, so it must be in decent enough nick.
Ray Patterson
So a lot has happened since the last update! Highland League Fort William's 1-5 defeat at the hands of Brechin City finally confirms their place in the relegation play-off - after some signs of promise at the turn of the year - they haven't been able to kick on while Turriff and Strathspey have picked up points and more importantly wins. North Superleague Banks O'Dee had the league sewn up ages ago, their lead in the division has only grown. They are only two games away from another invincible season, in what may well be their last in the North Superleague. Midlands League Today's win by Carnoustie Panmure, puts them onto 92 points and confirms that Lochee United will not win the title, which means that there will be no Midlands representation in the HL Playoff. As neither the 'Gowfers nor East Craigie have cover nor floodlights and do not look like getting them any time soon. North Caledonian League Invergordon won the NCL last week as Loch Ness threw away the title late on. Despite their musings recently at getting a Licence, there's far too much work to do for this season. Hopefully, the SFA can sort out a Cup place for them next season though. The Playoff So we have Banks O'Dee facing Fort William in the inaugural Highland League playoff. With Fort's final league game against Rothes on Tuesday 19th April and Banks final two games still to be scheduled - although that midweek would probably be one of the dates, it looks like the 30th April and 7th May could be the dates for the Playoff. Although a lot is still be decided with BOD's cup commitments.
