Cheers. Would have preferred it if they had never come back in any way, shape or form.
Clown Job
13 minutes ago, Ranaldo Bairn said: Are they still wearing black and red scarves? All the language coming from Rangers and their supporters was aggressive towards all the governing bodies in football and government, all the other clubs, all the other fans, etc etc. They were banking on a billionaire coming in and getting it right up everyone else. All the demonstrations were about everyone "being out to get Rangers" with language like "enemies" being used freely. There was nothing constructive. No serious plans to unite and at least try and do a Foundation of Hearts type thing. Of course the likelihood is that Hearts learnt from their behaviour and saw what was needed between themselves. The vast majority of the Rangers fans' groups that have sprung up since then have been on the spectrum from ineffective to downright shady, with some real vermin involved. I remember the threats to the SFA, SPL and other clubs Clicky Sandy Jardine of the Rangers Fighting Fund said: "Since the club has gone into administration, the fans have been magnificent in their support and the rally gives the fans an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to saving our beloved Rangers from the proposed sanctions." He later added: "There is a feeling within the supporter's group that we've been kicked that much, that if we have to, we'll go to the third division. "We'll wait and see what sanctions come about, if any. And after that is done, then we will take appropriate action." Following the SFA judicial panel's decision to impose the transfer embargo on the club, its three members had their names leaked online. They later received "abusive and threatening communication". Strathclyde Police has warned that anyone caught making threats to the panel online will be punished. An SFA spokesperson said: "We are now in receipt of the letter signed on behalf of the Rangers support and are grateful that today's event passed peacefully. "We appreciate the frustrations of the Rangers support during this period of uncertainty and today's march showed the depth of feeling towards the club. "The Scottish FA exists to govern with the best interests of the game at all times and will continue to do so throughout this challenging time for the Scottish game." Yesterday, two takeover bids were submitted to the Rangers' administrators Duff and Phelps. One is from the Blue Knights - fronted by former Ibrox director Paul Murray - and the other is from American businessman Bill Miller. Both bids are subject to conditions with the Blue Knights seeking a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) with creditors, and Mr Miller's bid depending on the outcome of further potential sanctions from the football authorities.

Clown Job
Never forget Rangers legend Sandy Jardine has accused of "greed" the nine players refusing to have their contracts switched to a new company. The new Rangers face the prospect of losing a vote among the 12 SPL clubs and face another battle for admission to Division One or the Third Division next season.
Ivo den Bieman
It was a weird time linguistically too- a whole bunch of shadowy chancers with names that sounded more like neo-fascist terror organisations (The Blue Knights lol...more like the Barron Knights) appeared to cut a slice from the carcass whilst shiny domed administrators turned up from London using words like "quantum". Tabloid journalists largely lost their minds as well, stopping just short of predicting civil war if Rangers folded, and a nuclear winter for the rest of Scottish football.

Clown Job
Never forget RANGERS fans last night vowed to boycott any new regime who plan to liquidate the club They are desperate to continue the 140-year history of Rangers and the leaders of two leading fans’ groups vowed any group planning to form a newco would be met with fierce resistance. Rangers Assembly president Andy Kerr said: “We’ve always had in the back of our minds the liquidation scenario but it’s the worst by a long way. It would dispirit people and break connections and fans would believe the history and tradition had gone. “We believe it is possible to save the club and its history. We don’t think it should be bought and then put through the horror of liquidation. We want to know who the bidders are and what their intentions are.

'The Blue Pound' was my favourite. Although I can't remember if that term was coined during the death of the old club or the banter years of the new one.

If someone could have simply bought Old Rangers out of the admin event for a smallish sum and dumped all the remaining debts, then its 100% certain that would have happened quickly. I remain convinced that the Glib and shameless liar planned a pre-pack administration with his placeman Whyte taking the fall. Unfortunately 8 days into admin HMRC froze the £7.8m in cash that Dave brought into the UK (so he didn't have to pay his South African Tax with it).
