peternapper
We need to turn things round asap & this not the easiest of games to do it. Have thought Airdrie are the best footballing team in the league this season its up to us not to let them show it today. Would take a draw if offered from this.
BigDi@mond
This has got to be the worst tv coverage of any game I've seen. The ball is never on the screen!
Blootoon87
League Two is more of a laugh anyway.

Agreed, cannot think of a worse football steam this or any other season. It is almost as though the camera follows anything but the ball...totally frustrating!
BigDi@mond
The quality of the stream closely followed by the quality of commentary. Their 'Oh woe is me' approach made winning 1-0 very pleasing

Aufc
That’s a great result. Just need to keep winning and see what happens
Blootoon87
Scoring a goal sometime would be nice. Shout out to the ref for absolutely ruining that game.
Conflict Free Diamond
It’s not that we played badly. We didn’t play at all. Take the points and move on!

Xanadu2112
Yikes we were lucky Peterhead don’t have an eye for goal. Stole those three points today. Love the board advertising “Ace Winches” Peterhead bold with its offerings.

We relied on McAllister for too long to pull us out of the mire and have never replaced him, coupled with a defence that rarely keeps a clean sheet - there is only one outcome.

Stevo1968
Phew… we just didn’t seem to click today but got an ugly win although thought afolabi was a handful all day. Clean sheet but I thought Kerr wasn’t at it today although looked injured. Midfield were dominated by Peterhead who just looked like they over ran us in there, Easton’s been a bit off since his POTM, the curse… another win though and we just need to keep ticking them off that’s all we can do and hope for slip ups elsewhere.

Peterhead looked more like the promotion chasing team, better today all over the park, welcome the 3points but it will be hard to take this week for the blue toon,
Blue-Toon
Played well once again but can't score a goal to finish off the good build up play. Our luck surely has to change soon or we are in trouble.
Chapelhall chap
Not long back from a long day. The weather was very pleasant and road conditions comfortable on the game I think we were very lucky to get the win mainly because Peterhead simply don't take any of the many good chances which came their way. The error from Kerr which let McLean gangle through should have been converted but for good work by our 2 best player's, Currie and Fordyce. Peterhead looked miles faster and energetic with our midfield vanishing in 2nd half. I had thought we would play better with the sunlight behind us but it never happened. Only our back 4 let us grind out a valuable win Hard to work out what Afolabi offers apart from scoring a calm goal.Thought we missed Smith a lot. On Peterhead Scott Brown was again very good and he must be frustrated at your position. Think it's not beyond you to climb out of trouble but it must be a worry. The fish supper from the Carron in Stonehaven was again vg
airdrieman
Not a vintage performance to say the least (what's the opposite of hyperbole?) but a good and important win. We've been on the opposite end of being the only team in a game before the opposition score a sucker punch and we lose 1-0 so I'm delighted to be on the winning end of that scenario on this occasion. For me, the midfield composition and balance hasn't been quite right since McInroy left. For a start, Easton is absolutely wasted in that role on the left-hand side. Get him in the middle and on the ball as often as possible. The last couple of games the midfield has been sitting far too deep. Both Montrose and Peterhead's midfield were practically able to freely run the ball box-to-box at times. Is that due to having both Agnew and McCabe in the team? Agnew has done well but I would move McCabe into the deep-lying role and have him dictating and starting our plays like we did when he was at the back. Have Easton and Frizzell in the middle and Scott McGill on the left-hand side. That's probably as close as we can get to the team we've played our best and most effective football with. Fordyce a colossus at the back and Brody Paterson very good once again. Good initial cross in for the goal. That was probably Max Currie's best game for a while. Some good saves and came out and confidently collected every cross ball (IIRC). More of the same please. Nice finish from Afolabi. And well set up by McCabe and Paterson with the cross. Still a bit difficult to know fully what he will offer yet as he wasn't in the game much, like the rest of the team, but thought he had some nice touches and held the ball up well at times. Looking forward to seeing more of him. A long but enjoyable day out on the supporters' bus and agree RE The Carron fish supper Edited February 20, 2022 by airdrieman
