FifeSons
The pitch is a disgrace and was to blame for the second goal, but we just didn’t show up second half and that’s why we deserved to lose. Alloa looked so much more up for it, and there’s no excuse for that.
Waspie
Think we deserved that overall. First half was pretty even and draw at half-time fair, but after a cagey start to second-half we really took control. Durnan should have scored his chance before the goal and Sena after all his hard work at the end should really have put it away and saved us the anxiety from the corners. He was probably just knackered to be fair. Should credit King too. I was moaning about him disappearing for long spells but he certainly made key contributions. Pitch absolutely horrific and feel for Kieren Wright there, although maybe he owed us one . Even allowing for the park it was far from perfect from us and Dumbarton were so close at the end, but we'd have lost that had Ferguson still been there, just a huge difference in fight from last week. Just have to hope that Rice, if he is indeed going to be the man, can build on it in the next few weeks. Get something like our best team on the park and organised and we'll be fine.

He looked so full of promise at the start of the season. His poor performances have coincided with that awful hairdo. BallochSonsFan
We finished the first half strongly and started the 2nd well enough. Playing well for 15-20 minutes of a 90 minute game doesnt often end well. Pitch was in a shocking state, but Wright needs to adjust and get rid of balls quickly. He let it run a little before trying to clear it and it bobbled on the tattie field that is our pitch. McLean was lucky not to get booked for a comical 2nd half dive. Wilson looked devoid of confidence when he came on and was always looking to get rid of the ball rather than taking men on. We didnt deserve anything from the game.

the snudge
Well deserved win for Alloa. They used the ball better and were far more street wise than us. We lack composure all over the team. GK to forwards are all a bit panicky. If Duthie could find a final ball and finish he'd be top class. Did we change tactics when Wilson came on because it looked like he'd been told to play wing back and he was dreadful.

Silverton End
No Carswell >>> No party Missed our captain big time today, him and Paton ran the show in midfield at Clyde last week. As for our pitch, well that certainly didn't help, but that was a very winnable game today and we couldn't step up. Big 3 points for Alloa, well done to them. Fair play to all the youngsters too for getting an atmosphere going.

cedrick1
Todays result is a real blow in terms of season management and with other results. Even a draw would have been ok despite dominating possession and deserving to win , Alloa hardly had a shot at goal. As usual we lost preventable goals carsewell badly missed
O'Kelly Isley III
That was a massive step backwards today, and whilst the pitch was grim one team managed to play football on it and deservedly won. We were ragged at times and badly missed the presence of Stuart Carswell in midfield; shit happens though and the Wasps exposed our lack of quality in that area. They seemed to win every 50/50 ball and built passing moves as opposed to our often erratic attempts at build-up. I was genuinely puzzled at the substitution of Pignatiello but perhaps there was a good reason - at any rate it did nothing to change the play. I felt for Kieran Wright at the winning goal, and there's an argument that the ball should never have been played back at that point, but what a finish from a tight angle by the Alloa lad. As for the park, perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing to avoidably lose the services a competent groundsman who lives seven minutes from the door and replace him with someone who lives considerably further away.

Yes that confirms he is ours i would think As for the game Despite the manner of the 2nd goal i think we deserved the win Adam king dispatched that rather well and he had an excellent game IMO something we don't see much awful conditions wasn't a great game but from our point of view the effort the commitment and the general play was so much better we looked like a team again and will be good to see Hendo back now onwards and upwards !
Kevchenko
Huge win today from a team that looked up for a relegation battle for probably the first time this season. Delighted with how the guys reacted today after a difficult week.
Robertsons
Pitch woeful but we got what we deserved today. Alloa the hungrier side, had more of the ball and won majority of 50/50s. We’re far too cautious in games hoping to snatch the win. There were times in the match when Alloa looked fragile at the back but we didn’t put them under nearly enough pressure for long enough spells.
