Anyone know why it has been removed from freesat? It gave the most unbiased reports of what is happening in europe and here, in my opinion! I wonder who they have upset now.

Still on Sky here, can't even get CNN on Freesat.

The Quatari state owned media beloved by edgelords and VLs who decry the Western MSM as being mouthpieces of the state.

It does have better international coverage than any UK channel irrespective of being owned by Qatar.

Not sure what's edgelordy about preferring reports from the Indian election or war in Burkina Faso to Charlie Stayt interviewing some c**t off of Strictly? Must be a VL.

I'm red dotting this for both the nonsense opinion and the appalling spelling of Qatari.

Al Jazeera were trained by the BBC on objectivity and neutrality and actually listened, unlike some of their mentors. Unless a story directly involves Qatar they're usually amongst the most objective. They were pretty awful on the "Arab Spring" suppression in Bahrain though as I think Qatar sent some troops over. There are no doubt other examples, Syria maybe though I didn't watch them much, Qatar backed some of the nastiest groups.

There's a Scottish guy - Alan Fisher - who's their main correspondent for American politics and he's excellent.  The Stream with Femi Oke is also a really interesting watch.  There seems to be some people who lump Al Jazeera in with the likes of RT but it's really nothing like it at all.
