If the clubs agree then I think a refusal from the SPFL would be odd. I think its unlikely the SPFL would agree but if tomorrow's game is off the point is moot.

The point is indeed moot if the game is off. If it goes ahead there are 3 possible scenarios. 1. The clubs ask the SPFL to move the game and the SPFL agrees. Good news for Kelty fans and Queens fans who travel from the Central Belt (a small number of people admittedly, but this includes a good friend who is one of the most loyal Queens fans on the planet). 2. The clubs ask the SPFL to move the game and the SPFL says no. The argument that putting the game back creates a scheduling issue is weak to put it mildly, given that there is currently no backlog of fixtures. 3. The clubs don't ask the SPFL to move the game. There may be reasons why that doesn't suit one club or another. In that case it would be nice if they could provide an explanation.

But they would force member clubs to postpone a league game (or games) in order to accommodate any non-members who had reached this stage? And the final isn’t until 27 March anyway, so plenty of time to fit the semi-final in if the quarter-final was postponed from 21 January. Yes. Is the concept of a sponsored cup competition with a tv deal alien to you somehow? What's it like still living in the 1970's?

Buckets
Any news on whether we'll see the return of the League of Ireland or the English National League clubs? Larne, Linfield, TNS and Connah's Quay would be the 4 foreign teams this year if its still the top 2 from those leagues. Bohemians and Sligo would be the top 2 league of Ireland sides not in Europe but they have a summer league so maybe won't be as keen to be involved, considering they have a decent league with decent crowds as well.
Ray Patterson
League of Ireland clubs won't be involved for a while, after the Bohemians f**k up from a few years ago.
