eindhovendee
Pochettino new manager of Chelsea. Nice pay off for him in a few months with all those 8 year deal players getting him chased.

I was stuck between Longstaff and Rice for that central midfield berth, but Longstaff just has that something special for me.

I was thinking Kalvin Phillips or Mason Mount maybe too, they just miss out.

Phillips has only played 12 times, so that's not really enough to be considered. I do rate him highly, though. Mount is a decent shout and I would have him ahead of De Bruyne and Rodri, but he's not done quite enough this season to be in the conversation with the likes of Longstaff and Rice.

Him and Curtis Jones just behind them IMO.

Mount is proper Chels tho.
Barry Ferguson's Hat
Took a day off work to re-live some of the Barclays' best moments: The way the camera pans on to 'King Power' at the 3 minute mark, just prior to the crescendo of Nessun Dorma. Spine-tingling. What a season, what a sponsor. Edited May 30, 2023 by Barry Ferguson's Hat

Barry Ferguson's Hat
Media reporting that Poch dozen want up to 12 players, including Felix. A pretty Joao dropping entrance for a new manager at such a big club.

Mark Connolly
Loving the "#NotoAnge, we deserve better" patter from Spurs fans. Tremendous entitlement from a club that, in the last 10 years, has had both Mourinho and Conte as their manager, and yet is still woefully average at best in the grand scheme of things

At least he managed a Champions League final and a few top 3 finishes. That's where the entitlement comes from I suppose. Ange is a much better fit for a club like Spurs than Mourinho and Conte. Someone who doesn't feel he is doing Spurs a favour.
Musketeer Gripweed
I can understand their reluctance to be honest after the appointment of NES a couple of years ago. That didn't look a correct appointment from day one. The thing is though, I think Ange looks like he could be a better fit than most of the names I've seen being linked with the job. The fact Nagelsmann doesn't want the job speaks volumes though. It might be better all round for them if they let Kane go and had a total reset from top to bottom. He seems to loom too big at that club at the moment.

He will be able to take his pick from any team in Europe.
Theroadlesstravelled
Chelsea lining up next season with 9 out the 11 players that finished this season because Poch can’t pap 20 diddies onto someone else. The Man Utd syndrome.

Financial Fair play means that they have to spread the cost of this seasons spree over several seasons and basically can’t sign anybody significant unless they offload some of those duds for proper money of course every potential buyer will know that Chelsea are desperate

The Telegraph report the Englishman has now agreed personal terms with Manchester United. Erik ten Hag's side are said to be ready to make a formal offer in a bid to get the deal completed quickly, with the 24-year-old valued at £80m. 80 Million smakeroonies.
