Anyone at last night's game? How did we play?

Just seen the highlights. Soooo many chances and shots in the first half. Looks like it could easily have been 3-0 up at HT. Need to start putting some of these away. Will make life a lot easier for us.

We dominated the first half and they were fortunate to equalise when we were reduced to 10 men.  Second half weather sharply worsened and we faced driving wind and rain and very cold - we were up against it.  Played well first half and defended well second

We badly need a striker who can score. Should have been comfortable last night, but let Cumbernauld back into the game. You can't afford to miss simple chances when they come.

I seem to remember Morton having a bearded player sent off against us for giving the finger to a Cowden supporter at CP who slagged off his hairy pus. LOL.

Rowan Vine.

We seem to have quite a few forward players though.. more pace than finishing..

How did that Ross Crawford play against Cowden? Seen him play a few times and he can definitely finish, albeit at lower levels. Now he’s starting to put them away in the EoS premier.

For Saturdays game. Would be great if more fans  if they are able to at least attend for one refreshment pre and post match. Players and officials attend post match too.

Turnstiles will open at 2pm as will the club bar in the Andy Matthew Lounge inside the stadium - home and away fans are invited to enjoy a refreshment in the lounge prior to the match and again at full time.

The only away fans sadly will be on the other side of the Atlantic.

Should stream the match and charge $20 to the overseas ‘owners’ 😉

0-1 at half time. After a shaky first 5 minutes when they hit the post I thought we played pretty well, so frustrating to be behind.

Trying to play a passing game, we’ve played some ok stuff, Braves are awful to watch, but big and physical and it does the trick.

Got the breeze behind us second half, not sure if it really helps all that much though.

Absolutely deserved that draw at the very minimum, we were the only team trying to win last 5 minutes after equalising, pushing forward (maybe should have had a second penalty?), while for some reason they seemed quite content with 1-1.

Braves are a horrible watch, a big bunch of bruisers, we’re not getting the wins, but am encouraged how we are playing with quite a few youngsters finding their way.

And Braves, with all your money can you not get some tops to fit your players? The skin tight fit does not suit a few of your boys,  Reggie boy in particular looked like his top was about to pop at any moment, and it wasn’t due to his muscles. 😬

Wasn't impressed by Freeway 74 Braves, a poor goal we lost and it was pretty boring to watch until the late penalty when we came close on a few occasions and I thought it was a good shout for a second penalty.

Like you I thought their strips were tighter than an Aberdonians wallet but also the numbers were near impossible to see who thought white on white was a good idea.

We looked very lightweight up front and so it proved. Our young players in midfield had a hard time against a physical hard tackling midfield. They were solid at the back unlike  ourselves, where hesitation cost us the first two goals. Referee and linesman were woeful. Swanson looked alright and Docherty battled hard but we were comfortably beaten.

Would agree with that about the referee. I think the Lowland League is the worst refereed league in the pyramid. It's the bottom rung of guys who have posters of Willie Collum on their walls.

Like many at this level he regarded almost any contact that put a player down as a foul. Rose were the net beneficiaries today because they had more possession. There was a run of free kicks given against Cowdenbeath midway through the first half that were laughable, culminating in our big centre-half Comerford overbalancing near the touchline and getting away with it.

Think we all are. Doesn't look like we are going to improve any time soon. Every time we get a decent result the next game sets us back.

Badly missing McLaughlin and McDonald in midfield.
