Coming back to the question of what the hell is the remit of a President when we have a (albeit crap) CEO?

The President and the Treasurer are the office bearers backed by nine committee members. These are the eleven registered directors of the Limited company that runs the football club. Every limited company must have an Articles of Association, the “rules” of how that business is operated. Ours makes the role of a director bullet-proof and with absolute power in all decisions. The only purpose of Members of the Limited Company is to vote in members of the Committee and the office bearers. This is the area where people have thought the fans had “a say” and in theory they do. In reality, as explained previously, the eleven who hold power have a high degree of control that ensures they all keep staying in that group. For example, only directors, and perhaps the Company Secretary (who is also currently the Treasurer) are involved in checking the validity and count of the ballot papers.

The CEO is simply an employee, although it’s feasible she could be employed as a sole trader.

Whilst we’re on the subject of nepotism, there is a second company registered at Lesser Hampden which is the QP Foundation, incorporated March 22. That company has three directors who are also the three members of the business. Members should be the checks and balance, but they’re not. The three directors are Leeann Dempster, Alistair Marr (who is also Company Secretary & also, also the Company Secretary and Treasure of QPFC Limited) and a complete stranger who had previous directorships at Hibs and Motherwell (as did Dempster) and a directorship at Hutchie Grammar (as did Marr). There is a curious clause in this company’s Articles that could enable it to become the owner/operator of a football stadium, such as Lesser Hampden.

I’ve been watching Queens since the days of Eddie hunter and Malky Mackay senior and the second half performance today has to be the worst I’ve ever seen. Disjointed, little attempt to go forward poor passing. I’d love to know what goes on in full time training. The Dutch experiment has failed. We desperately need to get in a manager who understands the Scottish game and some experience down the spine of the team. Whoever gets in charge of the academy also needs to know the game here.

We had one of those last season and Dempster forced him out.

Aye we should emulate the shin kickers of Greenock for success.

A club that runs at break even or modest profit based on its own resources rather than a Walter Mitty backer ✅

A club that is owned by the fanbase with reasonable accountability and transparency procedures in place ✅

A club that has a football ground that is fit for purpose, and provides a superb experience for its core fanbase rather than a gigantic royal box for assorted hangers on. ✅

A club that has a highly competent football manager in charge of its first team, rather than a clowncar parade of coaches with their shan 'philosophy of playing'. ✅

While it's not going to be automatic sunshine and roses following a professional football club in Greenock, these are all very good reasons why Morton fans are generally content with our 'shin kickers'; while your fans are completely alienated by the Frankenstein's nick of an outfit that you've become after only a handful of years since (rightly IMO) changing status.

Still searching for the uplifting New Year message from both the President and CEO thanking us for our support and mapping out the planned success for 2024.

- Make sure their mates are re-elected.
- Avoid or deflect legitimate questions and criticisms.

- Go immediately back into hiding.

How the f**k did you guys end up in this state off the park,,  did you see this coming or did the blazers blind you with full-time football, training ground , SPL etc,     to me Haughey and Dempster are the organ grinders and the blazers are the safe in position puppets with no relative power or heart to challenge "the man"..

How far are you guys prepared to go to get your club back...

The stadium shambles and the silence and eventual lies about it has been the main driver. Nobody at the club willing to front up. The only visible presence you see engaging with punters on a Saturday is Kieran Koszary. Dempster and the committee are nowhere. We’re so bound by the antiquated membership guff, that it’s a complex operation to untie the knots. Don’t know where we go, but there’s no way the status quo can hold over the medium to long term. Completely unfit for purpose.

A NEW YEAR APPEAL TO ALL THE QPFC PLAYERS.

Forget all the tactics and robotic moves that have recently become the normal from our friends in the Netherlands as this is obviously having a negative effect both on the results and the size of our fanbase --- instead use your footballing skills to 'beat a man' and have a shot at goal rather than continually pass away any chances we have....

Looks like no decent manager wants this gig

I see David Hopkin was watching the match today. Please for the love of god tell me it’s not going to be him

He was also at Dundee Utd game. Seen him shaking hands with Fox, Mckinstry and Savoury when leaving.

Just me or does anyone else think Nuijten just sounds broken in the pre-match vid.

Airdrie game killed his chances of getting the gig and it looks like he knows it. A win off the back of the United game might have put him in the frame.

Yes looks now like a guy just going through the motions.

Shame as looking at his CV, he has a lot to offer on the youth development side I.e in the academy, not in the first team environment.
