Any idea where the Ayr game on the 22nd of September will be played?  Will you be back in Hampden for that one?

Yes. It was only the Arbroath league game that was at Lesser due to pitch being relaid at Hampden. All home games now at Hampden (for this season anyway)

The confusing and ill-informed social media releases continues, this time from the New Hampden Order club shop. I guess they really did dance in the streets of Raith after all…

Getting to the point of beyond embarrassing.

More amateurish than we’ve ever been.

How hard is it to read something before you post it?

I say again after today's game against Thistle: Jack Turner is not working in our midfield. The dribbling he needs to do is done by Fox, the pressing he needs to do is done by Thompson and the passing he needs to do is done by Spong. The guy is pretty much useless. If I were in Veldman's shoes I would consider playing Spong in #10, Thompson in #6 and use Jarrett as #8.

And Cammy Bruce... starting him today and benching Tommy Robson was a big mistake.

I don't disagree with much of the above but let's remember they are still young and learning the ropes. Tough day for Bruce but he will learn from it.

A very hard shift for Bruce and I thought that maybe we should have gone with experience in Robson and Longridge at full back, but there won't be many easy games this season, so the young guys will have to deal with challenging days like today.

I was also expecting Robson and Longridge to start this one. Am sure the tactic is to have all of the squad up to speed with this league and what is expected of them come the business end of the season.

We certainly do not want to be handing out debuts during the final round of fixtures.

We didn't blood enough Young QP last season and for those last 9 games or so, the same 11 taking the field eack week were running on fumes.

Couldn’t agree more. End of last season when we fell off a cliff form wise, we had no alternatives.

Difficult balancing act between giving the youngsters minutes and playing in a highly competitive league. Would imagine there will be a few more difficult days, but given the average age of the squad that’s only to be expected.

No easy games in this league.

So what do we reckon to the new away kit? Got mine and quite chuffed with it.

It looks smart enough, but the issue is that we were sold the idea of an 'exciting' kit deal with Adidas, when it reality it's just generic strips out of a catalogue. Camelon Juniors, for example, have the exact same shirt:

Aye, a notable lack of punters kicking around in the home one. In fairness, at least the away one can pass as a QP away shirt. I reckon that’ll sell better than the home, which I still can’t believe got the OK. Loved the Adidas idea when I heard it, but the assumption was that they’d deliver to our specifications. If they can’t, then we should go somewhere that can.

We know that kits can sell if done right. The mad Irn Bru one being the prime example. Something a bit obscure will get folk from outside the support buying.

You can actually get away with doing three and having decent sales if you do it properly. Home one kept as simple as possible, mental away one like rainbow hoops or some sort of Jackson Pollock nonsense, third one copying one of the classic Bukta aways from the 80s.

It was a tactical mistake and that's why he was subbed off. I know it's an incredibly competitive league (and that's why I love it) and almost every game is equally difficult but this was a Glasgow derby.
