Slipmat
News about two of last season's Galacticos that you have been secretly waiting to hear... Harvey Walker has signed for Welling United and Lewis Currie is now at Glenafton. Botterill now the only player still to find a club. Reece Lyon is unbelievable. Let’s hope he’s not picked up a bad injury.

People around me expressing bafflement at just 3 subs. We deserved to win but for first 35 mins and parts of the second half we were well matched by a lacklustre EK side who were incapable of defending, when pressed. Stand outs tonight were Lyon, Douglas, McIntyre, Dickenson and Walker. Rest were really ordinary. Still it keeps Saturday interesting. Hopefully will look better when missing players back in but really emphasises the need for recruitment in forward areas as we really should have punished a 10 man non league team more. Positives were greater power, strength and goal threat in midfield where Reece was a mom.

Positives were greater power, strength and goal threat in midfield where Reece was a mom. So, we had five standouts out of eleven players. One of those is a keeper another making his first competitive start and another starting who'll be fourth choice in the midfield. So, really, what you're saying is Hewitt, Cochrane and McKechnie were ordinary. If those performances were "ordinary" I'd settle for that.

Early days so cutting them some slack but to be that poor for much of the game means we still have a lot of work to do to get players back, players in and gelling. Up front really worries me

Up front really worries me Who was poor? You said three players were "ordinary". I'm not really sure what your point is. We didn't play particularly well (although half the team managed to "stand out"), but scored three goals and won with about as makeshift a team as I think I've ever seen. You're saying the severely weakened team we put out won't be good enough and we need players back from injury? Is that it?
