FTOF
The 1,692 empty seats that could end up costing St Mirren over £200,000 (thecelticstar.com) What a shower of thick c***s. You got your arses handed to you on a plate. Best to stop digging, before you embarrass yourselves even more. How they doing their maths?

They have put us in the top six so 1,692 x 4 games @ £30 a ticket. Could only imagine the reaction if anyone points out that there has never been anything approaching a full house at the ground against either Rangers or Celtic in 13 years.
Bobby_F
"... and a fan base of less that (sic) 5,000 for a visit from the Champions". They really don't get that 'a visit from the Champions' - when said Champions are Celtic or Rangers - is going to put more people off than it would attract.

I thought they just meant from that game, regardless. It's two games surely.

Don't be fucking daft. They are also jumping to the defence of Rangers in this opinion piece as well. Of course they are! They are the arsecheeks for a reason.

We’re all totally happy with the arrangement The only folk that have a problem with it are you are your fellow Old Firm fans GIRFUY Genuinely don’t have a single problem with it and I’ll continue not to have a problem with it so long as fans don’t complain about being financially disadvantaged because by deliberately reducing our allocation you are accepting you don’t need the revenue we help generate. Selling a few thousand extra tickets to old firm fans won't make much a difference to the financial gulf between the other teams and the old firm.

In the 27 games at the "new" stadium v Celtic and Rangers where spectators were allowed, only TWO had an attendance beyond 7k...the 0-0 v Celtic (Kearney's 1st game in charge) and the 1-0 to Rangers (Barisic's free kick). As you say, the vast majority nowhere near a sell-out.

What’s your, and your bosom 2012 edition buddies home attendances when you play St Mirren, Livvy, Killie etc? What’s St Mirren’s home attendances when WE play Livvy, Killie, Ross County etc? What’s your merchandising revenue? How many overseas PPV fans in the likes of Canada or Australia do you and your brothers in arms attract? What’s your Champions League income going to be? Losing the minimal amount we did by papping you out of one stand is going to make about as much difference to our finances as someone pishing in the Atlantic Ocean is going to make a difference to that ocean’s pollution level.

Perhaps a suggestion could be to share the family stand with the away support, ....they really just don't understand!
dublin_bud
Any word yet on whether Ryan Strain or Richard Tait is getting custody of Jota? Was in Strain's back pocket from the moment he came on, had to switch wings, and immediately made himself at home in Tait's back pocket on the other side.

Probably Tait, Strain would have to cart him half way round the world this week on international duty.

pozbaird
Pretty sure some OF fans may dip in here and think ‘look at the state of these diddies, one win out of the last three hunner’ against us and they’re giving it large’… Well, aye, and with the international break, we get to make it last an extra week. Happy days.
