The offside goal at the end was clearly off, why is the check taking so long?

And surely Jenz has to get a 2nd booking at the 2nd penalty?

Wasn’t that clear an offside tbf.

As for Jenz, thought he was a stick on for a second yellow but watching the incident back it was nothing more than a trip, all tackles/trips don’t merit a booking but in all honesty I think the ref got caught up in var and missed the chance.

Clear enough it shouldn't take 90 seconds. You can tell from that still without the need for the lines. They need to get quicker at allowing clear decisions to stand, and hopefully they do.

No, not every tackle is a yellow, but that one should've been.

Wasn’t that clear an offside? Are you blind or just absolutely blinkered?

If you draw a line at the same angle as the halfway line then it’s very close call, one that needs var to check it and not just the word of diddies on forums.

Stop talking pish. If you drew a squiggly line maybe.

I’ve never said it was onside, just givin an opinion as to why, I think,  it took 90 secs to clear it up.

here, clears it up once and for all  👍

It was a foul, but not reckless, the ball was kicked away just before the challenge so don't think you can say it's DOGSO or stopping a promising attack.

I'm not arguing it was a straight red so DOGSO doesn't come into it. He clatters Devlin and gets nowhere near the ball, it should've been a yellow.

I’ve seen hearts fans boo the teams performance after a win but today their efforts in defeat were applauded, at least by section B

Problem with the, correct, change to the rules to remove red cards for genuine attempts to win the ball is players are getting away with yelliw card offences in the box.  Both Carter-Vickers and Jentz - if they commit those tackles a yard outside the box they get  booked.  Jentz was lucky to get away with it.

Played well for large spells but defensive howlers at all 4 goals do your chances zero good of getting anything

You've been misled by Sportsound, who were getting totally themselves confused by this.

Not every penalty is DOGSO. For a red->yellow card to be given it needs to be DOGSO in the first place, which neither of the penalties challenges were - both were just after the ball had been kicked away by the Hearts player, who wasn't getting to the ball after that.

It's simply a question of whether the foul or challenge was careless (which it was IMO) or reckless.

It’s not simply that. The consideration of consistent foul play could come into it.

Re the "tactics" bit - I had mentioned early on in the thread that imv he blew it playing that boy from Wigan instead of Shankland from the start.

Its classic Neilson in a bigger match, looking to negate Celtic rather than attack............p.s. our manager is entirely the opposite and look how that worked out for us v Celtic last week.

None of them are perfect, but Neilsons record must be under heavy scrutiny now, as well as that poor wins record, its 11 defeats in 15.

Having a laugh M8,today for once Robbie got things spot on with the players we had available.Bash on though 👍

I'm not saying anything about DOGSO.  I think both tackles were late and could easily have been yellows.  Should have for sure with C-V.  Jentz was less forceful but players get booked for that tackle every week, if you miss the ball and take the player when he's passed you it usually is
