I genuinely think people over the age of 50 don't understand what a foul is. They have their version of the laws in their head from generations ago and that's how they see the game.

Every week at every ground around the country you'll hear some seething old goon going on about how "he won the baw" and "it's his first tackle of the game" (and therefor it can't possibly be a booking).

What if you’re 49 and 8 months?

Absolutely nae idea why there are people disputing the Sevco penalty. The defender slides in rashly, that’s the mistake, not the referee. Remember the Paulo Maldini quote, he’s angry with himself if he has to make a tackle as he’s made a mistake initially resulting in the need to tackle.

Absolutely nae idea how anyone can think the handball isn’t a penalty. It’s understandable why the paranoia has kicked in around it, everyone knows the background of the referees involved. It’s either cheating or they are completely incompetent. Either way they shouldn’t be given premiership games again.

Goldson saving the ball from going in the net is one thing but bringing a player down in the box deliberately or not is always going to be a 60-40 decision in favor of the attacking player David.

Not sure what that has to do with the post you responded to. Nothing new from you there.

Zzzzzzzzzzz.

You're taking this all a bit too personal aren't you?

I could be wrong, but I think @kingjoeywas making a humorous reference to this absolute classic exchange.

I’ve always wanted someone to define what a “Da” is, so you are obviously the one I’m looking for to do this for me.

Quote

A Da is a humorous term referring to older fans who like to berate, badger and whinge about the younger elements in the support.

From t’internet, Joey.

The Rangers' penalty is obviously a penalty, and it's bizarre anyone is even disputing it.

He slides in for the ball, misses it, and - as per the rules - 'impedes the player with contact' by catching his foot with his leg and making him fall over. If he doesn't make the challenge, the Currant stays on his feet.

It's mad anyone is disputing it. 😀

A STASH of “potentially dangerous” items was discovered inside Ibrox Stadium hours before Monday’s Old Firm clash.
Cops at the powderkeg fixture found the haul, including a baseball bat, in a bin.

It came to light after members of ultras fan group the Union Bears were given early access to Rangers’ ground to place banners ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.

They were thrown out by police and club staff after a “cursory search” revealed the items.

A source told The Scottish Sun: “There were about a dozen items including a baseball bat.

“Who knows why they were there or who put them there but it’s obviously very disturbing.

“Cops and club staff deserve credit for making the find and acting so swiftly.”

Two men — part of the group allowed in early — were later charged with minor drug offences.

Superintendent Emma Croft said last night: “Police engaged with a group of supporters given access to Ibrox in advance of the Rangers v Celtic fixture.

"During a cursory search, a number of potentially dangerous items were found secreted in the stadium.

“Two men have been reported to the fiscal for minor drug offences. Inquiries are ongoing.”
We can also reveal Ibrox staff and locals called cops over clashes in the area on Saturday — with reports of “males with weapons” involved in violence two days BEFORE the first derby of 2023, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Supt Croft added: “Shortly before 4pm on Saturday, police received a number of calls reporting disturbances and males with weapons near Ibrox.
“Police attended and there was no trace of any disturbance on arrival.”

Sounds like a lot of shite considering they were blocked from entering the stadium early by the police to set up any displays…

My point being they were blocked by the police from entering the stadium early. The Broomloan Collective released that statement the day before the match took place so it’s impossible that they’ve put it out there in response to the allegations made in the Sun article.

It just seems odd they are claiming these items were taken in prior to the match when the police blocked anyone from entering early…

Additionally, there was no display at the match so I’m not sure what they are claiming they supposedly went in early to set up.
