Peterheid V The Mighty Mo

Recommended Posts

Just to make everyone aware, we are playing today.
Important game for us today to see if we can recapture our early season form.
Recent results have seen us slip to 6th in the table but we have been leaking goals for fun.
Losing the 2 Ross County lads will be a massive blow to our play-off chances. Hopefully, we have a couple of target loanees to replace them.
Be interesting to see what Davie Robertson brings to Peterheid but hopefully his improvement plans don't kick in until after todays game.

I'll go for a 0-2 away win more in hope than anything else.

Solid nil-nil or what? Couldn't get up the road in time for this one. Had to make do with following the live text on the BBC site. Squeaky bum time when Sinclair was red-carded, so was glad we hung on. Anything we learned today from this one?

New guys made a difference.  Caused a team more problems in 45 minutes than we've done all season.

To be fair to Montrose they were the better team in the 2nd half.

Early days , but with more signings in the pipeline it can only really be in the upward direction.

More hopeful of a better second half to the season.

Not a great game, that. Peterhead looked better today than they did in the first game at Balmoor, and did create some chances, but still think they're in dire straits league-wise. We didn't do enough to win the game simply, and it's knocking on two months without one now. Some January activity needed: rightback and midfield a must, possibly even a striker, or we can forget the top 4.

We are in dire straits league wise as you say, but we are simply looking to improve on a disastrous first half of the season.

Realistically, all we can do is put pressure on Clyde for the play off place. Anything else would be a plus.

Much better showing today and although we allowed Montrose to come more into things second half. The new players showed up well for us and if the manager continues to find suitable players we should improve. A clean sheet for the first time this season  helps as well and look more threatening going forward as well.

How did Daniel Fosu do for Peterheid today? He was quite divisive at Arbroath. Personally, I quite liked him and would have liked him to stay but others weren’t so positive. He wont get many, if any goals but he’s strong, physical and will give 100%.

Montrose fans today may remember him scoring an absolute screamer for us pre season in Terry Mason’s testimonial game.

Big Not the finest game of football I've seen !!!

Could still be playing and it would still be 0-0. There was no clear cut chance at all in the game. Thought Mo were slightly the better team second half but, as said, never really looked like scoring. We haven't won in 7 games now and look like we've lost a lot of self-belief.  Time for some hard work SP.

Thought he did pretty well, got involved and will hopefully fit in well

For a big lad he went down like a sack of tatties any time anyone brushed against him.

Peterheid looked a lot more like a team from the previous 2 meetings this season. They are probably too far behind most to secure safety but should have enough to overcome Clyde to avoid automatic relegation.

Are you not mixing up with Rory McAllister, he has perfected falling down over the years lol. Hope you have thawed out!!!

From the opposite end it looked like our keeper had 2 good saves 2nd half.

For us, the 2 good chances fell to Wilkie. First half one he simply took too much time to get the shot away and 2nd half when he broke clear he put it past the post when maybe he should've rolled it across for the incoming player.

But a draw was about right on the day. Pity it wasnt 2-2 instead of 0-0!

Rory still getting daft bookings. Some things never change.
