elginer
Home again with a poor home record this season. A win is essential if we are to keep away from the bottom as all the teams are so close
1993
Anything other than 3 points and a Bonnyrigg win and it’s back to looking over our shoulder. Hearing we might have a few players struggling with injury.
Mattmc
We’ve not really shown too much recently to suggest we’ll get a positive result. One away win all season, three points from our last seven games.
gordon9736
The team were unlucky last week and showed how well they can play. I'm going to say 3-0 and Dunn coming on for the last 5 min to make SPFL history (only if we're a couple of goals clear).

Briggsy's Ghost
That was abysmal! Given the dross that has been served up at home this season it is actually quite impressive to hit a standard so low that it stands out as the poorest performance. Stranraer deserved the points but any team able to field 11 people who can run and have watched a couple of games of football would probably have taken the points today. To watch so many players have an inability to pass the ball, stop the ball and have zero idea what to do with the ball if it miraculously stayed at their feet is completely unacceptable. I dislike the shouts of abuse and booing from our fans but I can understand it today because that was pathetic! Safe journey back to the Stranraer fans who made the long journey up!

elginer
Terrible performance with hardly an attempt on goal. We have been playing the same now for weeks at home . A few passes along the back followed by the big hoof up the park in the hope Hester will score. At this rate we will be fighting with Bonnyrigg to avoid relegation. No doubt Gavin will partly blame the pitch but Stranraer we’re able to get the ball down and play. Their problem was the final pass otherwise the margin of victory would have been much greater. Elgin have 2 games away this week and need to get some points before we play Bonnyrigg at home. The style of play has to change but even with thathappening we may simply not be good enough and a few wins at the end of 2022 simply disguised that fact. In recent years we have failed to get out of the division even playing good football but we have not seen any entertaining football at home this season.
Clayhole Blue
Quick out of the blocks after last week’s dreadfully lacklustre start, and kept up an impressive tempo throughout. Fantastic finish by Robbo to clinch the points. Rode our luck slightly when hesitation in defence led to Elgin hitting the bar, but god only knows how we didn’t add a second in that goalmouth stramash in the second half. Impressive debut from Jonny Ngandu, and great energy going forward by Matty and Jinky. No failures today and a crucial 3 points headed back down the A9.

Mattmc
Well how wrong was I? It won’t be a performance that’s well remembered but I thought to a man the Stranraer players were faultless. First half was easier on the eye than the second, played mostly in the attacking half, seemed to get a lot of joy down the right with Matty Grant and McIntosh, got ourselves a cracking goal and a deserved lead. Second half was more backs to the wall but very organised and restricted Elgin to minimal chances, one slight mix up gave Elgin their closest attempt of the game even at that they failed to hit the target. Been in this position before this season but let’s, hope this is the one we kick on from a string a few positive results together.

I hope he's prepared for what's in store at the Rock next week. Borough Briggs is like Spurs' new ground compared to our tattie field.
