clashcityrocker
Think this will go the same way as the relegation battle and will either be decided on the last or 2nd last match of the season. Too close to call, but I expect both Queens and Dundee to both drop a few points in the final run in.

I remember a headline in the Daily Record when attendance at Ibrox hit seven thousand for a midweek game against Dunfermline. Around 1972. Same season as the Cup Winners Cup final.

In my lifetime I’ve seen St Mirren win that title 4 times: 76/77, 99/00, 05/06 & 17/18 Each time it was hard fought to the last few games. Each team in those seasons were more than capable of beating every other team home and away on a good day. The problem is that once you get promoted to the “promised land” of the top league it just becomes so dull and uninteresting with the arse cheeks financial domination. Not only that but the pressure on the diddy club top flight teams is not to get relegated so it breeds a very negative approach to the football played. I wish all your teams the best over the coming weeks. Enjoy the journey. It’s a fcuking rollercoaster of emotions but cherish it! Good luck to you all. Even Morten! Sorry to disagree with you but the Gus MacPherson season was won at a canter (sealed by Billy Mehmet IIRC)! St Mirren table(s) on 2006-04-20 (fitbastats.com) I’m not sure you could say at a canter. Admittedly we won the title on the 3rd last round of fixtures with Billy coming on as a sub and scoring in 86mins! Look through that season and there were a number of games against lower rated teams where we struggled. That was also the season that we went out in the Scottish cup away to Gretna who made it to the final. Missed opportunity that day. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005–06_St_Mirren_F.C._season Exceedingly nice to beat Dundee though! We do make a habit of winning league championships against them. Much preferred the 4-0 pumping of them at Dens in ‘77.

Fuctifano
Game on between the top 2, QP's defeat keeps the tiniest of chances available for Thistle and Morton arithmetically but realistically, no. Raith's game in hand gives them a slightly higher % of top 4 than ICT but also leaves them a fraction of a chance of ending up in the playoffs whereas Inverness didn't finish in the bottom 2 once. Cove taking another heavy defeat and Arbroath winning away at the league leaders means the model thinks the Lichties are favourites from the bottom 3 to finish 8th. 64 points now the "more likely than not" point to win the league.

Number1IsJamieAdams
QP have to play Partick, Ayr, Morton away from home and then home to Dundee. Can’t see them winning the league!
Number1IsJamieAdams
I’m a little bias naturally as an Ayr fan, but I can see Ayr being in the playoff final against the premiership team, if we can avoid more injuries and suspensions!

Excellent work. What's the more likely than not points total you're getting for fourth?
