What wind?  There was barely a hint of a breeze for the entire match!

Look at that flag.  There was no wind.

A photograph such as the one you have shown shows that at the particular moment the photograph was taken there was not a meaningful gust of wind.  Even on an extremely windy day it is possible to achieve a photograph like the one you have shown.  As you may already be aware wind at low altitude tends to be in gusts.  This is part of the reason why a wind turbine on certain house roofs is not particularly good for generating electricity.  A higher altitude is better for a consistent wind.

For what it is worth I looked at the weather forecast before match if was forecast to be  9mph.  In other words not particularly strong.

I’m not arguing your general point, just wishing to clarify how a photograph such as the one you have shown does not prove the point you are making.

Thank you.

On the Beaufort Scale 9mph is a gentle breeze. I did say it was a breeze.

I do apologise for not having a 2 hour video of a non-moving flag.  I didn't realise that it was even going to be a discussion topic, because there was no wind to speak of.

No, no apologies to you. I thought when you posted the picture of the flag and said “Look at the flag.  There was no wind” you had added the photograph to lend weight to the argument there was no wind.

As we now all know the photograph contributes nothing towards determining if there was a wind. Therefore, may I ask why you posted the photograph and said “Look at the flag.  There was no wind”

Back to the game. It turned out be be more physical than I expected and some of the "tackles" looked like someone was going to get a bad injury. Could've all been prevented of course had the ref had taken more control from the start, but Mr. Lambie proved to be right down there with the rest of the poor excuses for referees that we've seen all season.

Anyway, Dundee were on top in the first half but apart from hitting the bar didn't really trouble Gaston. We created next to nothing. Second half we were the better side but had only a couple of free kicks from McKenna that were close, but went past the post or over the bar.

A draw was probably a fair result. With all the robust challenges that were going in all over the pitch I didn't expect to see Scott Allen come on as a sub. Some Dee fans have criticised Paul McMullen but I thought he was one player who tried to make things happen for them. But everyone sees the game differently.

The electronic signboard is in the wrong position, only half of it can be seen from the home end if there are away supporters in front of it. Should be central under the television gantry thing on the side opposite the stand. Maybe the club couldn't afford an extra length of wiring cable for it?

Thought the ref gave most decisions to Arbroath, first half McMullen hit the post, he was also one on one with the keeper and made an arse of it.

There's no point having your scoreboard where it is either, toilets are a waste of time as well, by the time you get in, you probably would've urinated yourself.

Thank you.

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the ref making a complete balls up and finishing the game a good 7 or 8 minutes early , perhaps he couldn’t watch anymore of that Keech

I was on the media area covering the stats and the first half added one minute and two minutes were added for the second. I made a note as both seemed to be earlier than I would have expected but there was injury time unlike Montrose a few weeks ago, where the ref blew up at 44m 40 seconds!

According to some weather nerd website the wind yesterday was 17mph which reduced to 14mph by full time. We can confirm there was some sort of weather present during the game. It was clearly not the hurricane conditions that Arbroath people endure on a daily basis.

Surprised more people haven’t mentioned this, it was the best chance of the game. Keeper did well but McMullan should’ve scored

As my old granda (Arbroath born and bred) used to say,

"When the sky's in the east, there'll be weather"

Which point? The fact you were called out correctly for being a homophobe in the Morton match thread? Or that you are a Dundee a United supporter?

Please do answer…..
