Been a few times, even saw Pele’s ICT play there. Probably take in their game v United in august although it’ll mean going past Westside v Carloway on the way up the road. I take it you caught the bit on AVFTT the other week.

Aye, had a chat with the manager before the game, nice guy.

Aye, never realised Sweeney had taken over as manager. He used to come down this way delivering meat around the time Air an Lot first came on the air. I asked him if he was the famous Sweeney who played as a striker but I think that was his cousin or uncle. Matty-RCFC
Is Loch Ness’ team not completely different to their NCL team, as half their players couldn’t be arsed playing summer football? That could be well wide of the mark. I’d fancy Avoch to win it from here if so. Groats always have a strong side too.

The NCL team and the summer amateur team have completely different players.

The Highland Amateur Cup committee have confirmed it will be holding a hearing on Sunday looking into the claims by Golspie Stafford that Clachnacuddin Reserves fielded ineligible players in the match. Clachnacuddin Reserves defeated Golspie Stafford in a penalty shoot after both teams were level at 5-5 after extra time at Grant Street Park. They are due to face Avoch in the Highland Amateur Cup semi final next month. Clachnacuddin Reserves are still in contention to become the first team from Inverness to win the competition which was first established in 1978. Highland Amateur Cup committee chairman Hugh Morrison says they will hear from both teams on Sunday before making a final decision if Clachnacuddin Reserves will remain in the competition. He said: “Golspie have put a protest in as they are claiming Clachnacuddin have fielded two ineligible players in their quarter final match. “The Highland Executive Committee will meet this Sunday to discuss the issue and take evidence from both clubs.”

Matty-RCFC
Thought Avoch would beat Clach Ressies, but thought 7-0 was a bit of a surprise. Groats win the other semi against Stromness to set up a repeat of the 2015 final, I believe.

Got the big team playing at Wick the Wednesday before the final so booked to stay on till the Saturday. Mon the 'Och! Avoch's first 4 goals all came from corners which Clach couldn't deal with, height wise they matched up but physically they got bullied by Avoch.
