Will they even start the season if they’ve not paid some players for all of last season? 🤔

If this happens would it mean that there would be no relegation and one team coming up or would this mean one non starter and one relegated with two coming up?

The LL rules don't allow for any possibility of two promotions in a single year. So it would be no relegation, unless the LL receives a relegated club from the SPFL without promoting one in return, in which case one club would be relegated.

What has happened with Broomhill? They in trouble?

Might be more wishful thinking.

There's a rumour about unpaid players from last season during the Open Goal Broomhill era. The club's a bit of a cockroach and i'm sure will still stumble along regardless.

I don't normally want clubs to go out of business (Old Firm aside) but won't be shedding any tears if BSC Glasgow/Alloa/Cumbernauld/Dumbarton/Open Goal Broomhill/Broomhill are gone from the leagues for good. A total farce of a club.

So if two clubs fold leaving 14 then that would be an exception?

Then the remaining spot would be filled by application, which could just be the next best licensed side that missed out on promotion, but they could pick any side they want.

When is the next opportunity for the clubs to vote on the relegation rules? After this season?

They could have voted on it during the summer but they must have forgot, honest! Busy with Conference League and voting B teams back in again because of Conference League was going to happen...

Hopefully with Linlithgow Rose coming up that increases the good guys teams who are used to 3 up and 3 down divisions and so would vote for this.

Elgin and Forfar are in the bottom three in League Two. If one of them gets relegated, and the Lowland League winner gets promoted, there will be no relegation from the Lowland League this season.

Leaving aside the usual debate on here about relegation from the SPFL and more automatic relegation places in the Lowland League, I think there should at least be a system in place for automatic relegation for the bottom placed Lowland League side. If Elgin/Forfar were to go down and the LL champion was to go up then they could simply still relegate the bottom LL side but allow two sides up from tier 6 instead. I think that would be a pretty sensible option and wouldn't involve any increase to two automatic relegation spots. It just seems crazy that you have two sides consistently struggling at the bottom of the table each season yet they could be saved by what happens with promotion/relegation between the SPFL and League Two rather than on merit.
