The one massive, regressive object that stops Scottish Football progressing is Celt/Gers. The way they can draw from both sides of the Christian divide both numerically and financially, dwarfing the rest of the system in its entirety prohibits any real progression for the game as a whole.

But Hearts B team is okay?

That's grim! Thought that was written by Maxwells PA rather than a newspaper JOURNALIST

Build him up as someone who knows what it's like to miss out on a decent career... i.e. Nothing but a lower league duffer.

Use words like "ambitious" to describe the conference and immediately go for "self-interest" when it's voted down... AGAIN, for about the 7th time in total!

If the Lowland League clubs hadn't shat the bed in the 1st place and showed the same unity as the big League clubs have done every time they've been asked to discuss this pish over the years, then it would never have got to this stage.

As for all these morally corrupt, snivelling weasels copying and pasting a wage in newspapers or dafties doing podcasts, I'm glad the only time I read or hear any of it is when someone links something here

Written by Matthew Lindsey, the Herald Group's redrafter of Celtic press releases, as Chris Jack does for Rangers. So no surprises.

Am I reading that correctly. Spartans approached Hearts B?

So don't expect Spartans to be a voice for opening up promotion/relegation to L2 then.

Get that drawbridge pulled up, lock it and destroy the key.

Is no-one safe from your cryptic comments? 😁😁

You know I don't think b teams should be anywhere near the pyramid.

My post was a more general statement about the pull and influence our 2 friends have on Scottish society. Their combined footprint is disproportionate to the size of our wee country's population. The likes of Hearts just hang onto their coat tails hoping to get some of the potential over spill. Without the 2 there could be a fairer spread of the riches.

I know I'm a dreamer.

No doubt you believe in trickle down theory in politics as well.

Me thinks you're talking to too many Tory horse traders and it's having your reality changed.

Spend a couple of weeks in Saracen Street and come back to the real world.

If you can't do without the horses there's a bookies here open till 10pm.

The Glasgow Giants get the crowds because they are successful.

You've went too far now.🙄

Dad was a founding member of the Communist Party in this beautiful island. Voted SSP back before oor Tommy started attending those parties in Pitlochry.

What I believe in is revolution but unfortunately it's just the faces that change power corrupts the best of intentions. The poor will always be poor.

Daily Mail rules supreme down here. It's all the boat people's fault and Nicola.

You can take the boy out of Dormanside but .....

Could be said they are successful because of what they represent not that their success garners support.

Their influence around Scotland is saddening.

You should have been down here during covid season more British Flags than at the recent Coronation. What links to people down here have with a Glasgow Club other than the obvious. Nothing to do with football.

Think my dad was right should have followed GAA. Man's football as he called it.

Have you heard Cowdenbeath have been invited to Viaplay Cup. Now there is a conspiracy theory.

Scottish football is totally corrupt from top to bottom.

You should know that all too well from the background you claim to come from.

Well done to all supporters and clubs who had a massive influence on getting this idea right in the bin.

Without the voice, a lot of clubs would have tried to screw their own support over by welcoming this idea.

Open up relegation at the bottom of the Lowland League, also automatic relegation if you finish bottom of league two.

Get rid of the B teams, and have a fully functioning pyramid system!

I am hurt you say claim, I am no catfishing. Nothing I have posted is not true about me or my family background. There is a lot more about them than I divulge my friend.

Would love to be in a socialist society but for the prospect of prosperity for all I recognise we need entrepreneurs, industrialists, financiers and the like, but unfortunately a side-effect appears to be greed.

The whole system is corrupt, governments both sides of the border, the already wealthy who made multi-millions from the lockdowns. It's maybe always been this way, access to social media makes it easier to find out information, but is there anyone in positions of influence and authority anywhere who isn't there for their own enhancement.

Would enjoy a chin wag at a game sometime.

Sorry they get the crowds because they appeal to the prejudices engrained in both sides of our Christian divide. Yes there are a number who follow for the glory and are not interested in the heritage of both clubs. But most are there because the clubs are a representation of their beliefs.

I grew up in Glasgow, Antrim and Donegal, so seen it at first hand.

But it's still those crowds that make them successful. Not the other way round.

Yeah that makes sense. My point was more about their appeal to certain aspects in society. Excuse my mood but have lived in this shite my whole life and it eats at my very being.

I thought that any departure from a Saturday had to be agreed by the opponent or it reverts to 3pm Saturday if no agreement ?

You would have to ask the Lowland board. As we know they have been quite accomodating in exchange for the B team cash.

I'm sure they will point to the likes of Edinburgh City recently & "it's only 1 year" to help justify it.

I know but both here and back home across the North Channel they hide behind this shite. If my parents can live through all the sectarianism and discrimination they faced and raise 8 kids who see beyond what foot people kick with, there can be no justification or reason for the bile that a lot of Scots/Celts live their lives by. I'm rambling I know but there you have it.
