At the moment............

Think we are all in agreement about that.

The thing is, Maxwell is that much out of his depth he thought that it would be a quick turnover and shows you just not him. Brora Rangers director David Dowling was part of the SFA team who created the plans and didn't even realize his own fans would go against it.  There will be a lot of underhanded stuff going on to get many onside and committee men and women, Chairmen and fans must realize that all the time this was being discussed and debated by fans, on here, twitter, facebook etc, the SFA were not sitting on their ass they were doing their best to get others onside.

It is wrong, out of date, it holds no water and would have and will be a failure if implemented.  The only best way, is a reserve league and the experience these lads will gain playing against first team players coming back from injury or needing match fitness is immeasurable

The lowland league chiefs should open up an extra relegation promotion spot at the foot of the lowland.

This to me is the first thing that needs fixed. The rest kind of works.

Strengthen the pyramid asap.

The last meeting Lowland had, one team stood up and announced that relegation should not be spoken about until the SPFL 2 allow relegation and it was seconded by another team. East Stirlingshire, Cowdenbeath, Brechin City, Berwick Rangers and soon to be Albion Rovers because I don't expect them to get back either, Can and Should inform them how wrong no relegation is.

Here's a novel idea why don't they start a cross-league discussion group that meets at regular intervals. They can talk openly about the future of the pyramid, encourage suggestions from across the system and put forward proposals to the Board which can then be voted on by the members.

What could we call it?

Keep it simple I suppose;

Pyramid Working Group

PWG.

"Reserve teams in the second division"

Quote from Jock Stein in the 1960s.

I mind that, around the time of Quality Street Kids. Bit young at time to know why it didn't happen.

LL makeup 23/24.

4 ex-leaguers; East Stirling, Berwick, Cowdenbeath, Albion.

3 new-seniors; Boness, Tranent, Linlithgow.

4 ex-eos; CSS, Gala, Edin & Stirling Uni's.

Gretna whatever they are.

Braves who did things right way.

Leaving the 3 ex boys clubs or whatever; EK, Nomads, Cumbie Colts.

Maths was my weakest subject, but does that not mean there is a majority of proper clubs who aren't sycophants to the 2 now.

Sort yourselves out and make the LL the beacon for all lowland clubs to aspire to. Work with your friends in Tier6 to have a fluid 2 way system. Dropping down to tier 6 is not the black hole it maybe was all 3 leagues below are vibrant and progressive.

There are enough fans from these clubs to start chirping away to your boards/committees.

Get it done, faither has spoken. 😁😁😁

Needs to go further. Increase the size of the Premier Division to 16 so more lads get the opportunity to gain experience at the highest level available in Scotland. If they are to play for Scotland they will be good enough, as teenagers/early 20's, to deal with this. The less talented lads will need to come through e.g. via a Reserves league.

Good idea but not organised by the current SFA top people. Not called PWG as that has too many bad things associated with it.

What a bunch of incompetent morons run our game.

You just know in a few months we will be having yet another discussion on B teams coming into the pyramid somewhere else. Allowing them into the LL was the foot in the door and now they will likely never give up trying to shoehorn them further up the ladder into the league setup.

We'll see. Yesterday's motion withdrawal was humiliating enough that they may have to accept defeat at this point.

The even more ridiculous thing, in my humble opinion is that rather than an extra tier, if anything, they need one less tier. The Championship, League One and League Two becoming two leagues of 16 (with two extra clubs being promoted to make up the numbers). I wonder if that would have got to a vote?

(The Premiership needs 16 as well but that's definitely not going to happen with the ugly twosome involved.)

Let's hope.

Maxwell has to resign surely. he was fronting this farce and the petted-lip spin about "self interest" winning out shows he hasn't learnt anything at all from this debacle.

Just not a credible person to be in a leadership role in the game.

He's should have resigned after his blatant falsehoods regarding the Scottish Cup Final. Here's hoping he shuffles off into the sunset now.

A split could be fixed to give them what they want.
