Beith are an unlicensed qualifier, so they - like the other qualifiers - have to enter at the earliest round. As it stands we know there are at least 3 new licensed clubs - and this would mean the Extra Preliminary would contain only qualifiers (with 1 of these 7 receiving a random bye). If there are more than 3 new licensed clubs - it has been reported upto 6 were going forward for approval - a certain number of licensed clubs will be randomly selected to join the Extra Preliminary alongside the qualifiers. Oddly enough none of the tier 6 champions will actually be entering at the Preliminary... all were won by unlicensed clubs, who as qualifiers will have to enter the Extra Preliminary; except for Linlithgow the EOSL champions, who having been promoted to LL will enter at R1!
