Musa, Daziel and McArthur confirmed away. Will follow Musa's career with interest going forward.

Scott Dalziel was alway going to be one season. McArthur at times a bit careless on occasions IMHO in Travis and Hawkins were a better pairing. Musa potentially a very good keeper and will be hard to replace. Adamson of Cumbernauld Colts would be an ideal replacement.

Sorry to see Musa leave. Hope he signs for a club higher up the pyramid.

Dalziel loved playing on a Saturday but at 39 his legs are gone.

McArthur a decent player but not going to be a big loss.

Bang on, wish all 3 the best in the future as well.

All 3 have been likely to leave for months now so hoping Hunter and co have had plenty time to get replacements lined up.

There was talk from a reliable source at our final game that 2 players had agreed to join the BU's. One of the two was a central defender.  Think the other is a midfielder.

Like most other clubs no names will be announced until early June when papers are processed by the SFA.

Only another couple of seasons until Athletic are in Lowland league and become the big team in Bo'ness.

They will probably find a way to boot you freeloaders out of Newtown Park.  You can go play in a wee park.  Times running out for you lot.

And if it happens it’ll just mean there’s another team from Bo’ness pumping you lot.

Paying our dues = Freeloaders ? 🤔

Thick c**t 😆

Are you sitting comfortably, good then I will begin,

Once upon a time there was a Junior team and their name was Bo'ness United.   They played at Newtown Park which is not owned by the club but run by the NPA (that's another long story).

Over the hill there was a village amateur team called Linlithgow Thistle.

Some wealthy guys decided to pump some money into Linlithgow Thistle but where would they play.

Newtown Park was Thistles  preferred venue but using the "Bo'ness" ID was a concern for tge BU's so Thistle had a meeting with the BU's and there was agreement/understanding that Linlithgow Thistle would become a new team "Boness Athletic" and would operate lower down the leagues and be a feeder club for the BU's.

It soon became apparent that once "Athletic" had a foot in the door they had no interest in being a feeder club. Promises were broken and many of the BU committee HATE the Athletic committee.

There is no "history" between the 2 teams on the pitch.

Bo'ness Athletic is a pop up plaything for a few minted chancers, no more, no less.

Some call Athletic "parasites" but that's unfair......to parasites !!

Mon the BU's !!!

Dave you missed the best part. They promised that they had no ambitions to join the pyramid and were allowed to use the Bo'ness United name in the Juniors. They then cried that they had to change their name when joining the pyramid because rightfully the BU committee told them to get to f**k

5 trophies in 12 months - clearly lessons can also be learned from how they are doing things.

As for a pop up plaything are they any different from many teams currently in LL founded on similar ideals opposed to the past where a club was a representative of a town.

If United learn anything from winning the EoS 2nd and 3rd Division titles and the Alex Jack Cup / Cup Winners Shield combo then something has gone horribly wrong.

Happy with how we are at BU .

Money getting pumped in to BA will have its limit and at some point they will descend just as fast as they have ascended .
